MORNING STAR: 3 (Red Rising Trilogy, 3) : Brown, Pierce: desertcart.in: Books Review: *respect* Sevro was bloodydamn awesome till the very end - A saga has ended. I am speechless. (No reference to The Jackal intended.) Pierce Brown spun a world under his fingers. A world so vast yet brimming with detail. He created so many characters each with its own set of flaws and strengths and put them in impossible and heartbreaking situations and watched them climb right back up, beg for mercy, fall on their swords or embrace death with pride all the while snickering in his room above his parent's garage. *respect* Sevro was bloodydamn awesome till the very end. So was my goodman, Ragnar. Darrow was not the center of the universe of this novel. The Reaper had grown enough in the last two novels but the Reaper cannot goryhell do anything without the people around him. The people he loves: Mustang, Sevro, Ragnar, Victra and even Cassius and Roque. If nothing else the betrayal stings Darrow as of a friend under hypnosis and he wants to snap them awake so they can see the world as he sees it, as Eo saw it, and strive to make it a reality. I have to admit I predicted the plot-twist, it made a lot of sense. But that didn't make it any less fun to read. If anything it made me jump and scream, "I KNEW IT! I BLOODYDAMN KNEW IT". There is no series in the world that is capable of matching this one. It juggles around, teases a little and then satisfyingly hits goryhell home. Pardon my tongue, my goodman, its effect may last a while. The book was delivered before time and the quality and packing was decent. Review: Best YA book with amazing ending - I picked up this series because book 3 here was on Good reads best SciFi book of 2016. Every review of the book compared it to the hunger games which I loathe so much. There cannot be a worse book than that. Red rising series on the other hand is well written and meaningful. Morning star gives a satisfying end to the series without any cliched deaths or over the top protagonist. The character development is marvellous and the way they handle destroying the color hierarchy seems realistic. The author did a fantastic job with all the characters.

Awesomeness Redefined
This book is one of the best books I have ever read. It has all the elements to make it one of the best books of all time. Red rising trilogy can easily be considered to be in the league of great trilogies like LOTR. I just can't wait to see it translated into a movie.

Itâs a page turner. It adds a necessary layer of complexity to the overall story, and all the dilemmas that arise when you play the âchange the worldâ game. Are heroes pure? How does a hero rise?

This is a fantastic finish to an amazing book trilogy. I won't give away any spoilers but will rather speak to the merit of the book. For his first series, the Red Rising Trilogy went so far above and beyond my expectations that I am truly amazed. So many new series and trilogies start strong but face and fizzle as you progress from start to finish. If anything, I would say this series gets stronger as it progresses rather than weaker and by the climax, I find myself wondering if he could have finished it any better. Brown beautifully builds up to the conclusion and leaves his readers satisfied and fulfilled. This series is everything you want the Hunger Games to be but its just so much better. As I worked my way through Morning Star I found myself sharing the book with anyone that would listen. I ended up getting my wife, brother, sister, and sister-in-law to all read the series and not a one of them was disappointed. If you are looking for an amazing new series, this is the trilogy you should be reading. I am a certified English teacher and I have read several reviews of his work that criticize his writing which is just asinine. I love fantasy and science fiction, but I also have a great appreciation for classic literature. I have read everything from Dickens to Melville to Dostoevsky, so I know what beautiful writing looks like. I am not saying that Brown is on the same level as the aforementioned authors, but he is nothing to scoff at. His writing flows well and he also has a knack for developing enthralling characters and intertwining plot lines. There is nothing not to like about this book and if you see people leaving negative comments then just disregard them, fools and less talented people will always find reasons to complain or nitpick the genius of others. Red Rising was great, Golden Son was a worthy successor, and Morning Star is the perfect conclusion. My prediction is that this series will blow up in the next year or two once we get closer to seeing a Red Rising movie. Do yourself a favor and read this book.

5 Sterne

This series was recommended by a friend. Book one was great but I felt the story drag a bit. Not a problem with book 2! The pace of progression keeps you on your toes and easily gets you lost within the pages of the book. Great character development and an exciting ending that leaves you yearning to know what will happen next! This is a great page-turning series, and one that will easily leaves you saying "just one more chapter"
