Petzl ROLLCLIP A Pulley Carabiner - Triact-Lock (Gate Side Opening)

Works great. I have three of these

I bought this for setting up top rope anchors. The working load limit on the bearing is 4kn (900 pounds). Keep in mind the mbs of the biner itself is well over 20kn. The WLL indicates at what load limit the bearing can be used at all the tine without wear or damage. So for a sub-200 pound climber on top rope this is well within 4kn. Plus even if the bearing axle gets damaged the carabiner itself wont break so its still perfectly safe. I waited until I had enough climbs on this on a top rope anchor to do a review. Annnd its great. Still functions flawlessly. Perfect for my application.

This elegant piece of gear replaces the usual locking carabiner + SMC CRx pulley (x2 or x3) used to set up a Z-drag. Same weight, but smaller form that tucks away into a PFD pocket much easier. So much more compact to carry 3 of these instead of 3 pulleys + 3 locking carabiners. The only thing to keep in mind is these are not prusik minding (helpful if one of them is in a Z-drag). Easy enough to improvise, though. I use a 2” plastic disc with a hole in it that the rope passes through (looks like a washer).

It’s petzl. Known for their quality and this product isn’t any different. Plenty of uses for it but I pair it with a Kong Ducky on my grillion for easy ascension. This version is very easy to use, very lightweight and durable.

Great carabiner. We use it under a fair load routing a take down line on a 440sqm spinnaker with a hydraulic winch providing the power. It hasn’t corroded in saltwater conditions , hasn’t seized up or distorted under load. That’s over the past 12 months. I’d buy another if needed.

Funktioniert wie er soll. Für mich unerwartet aber sicherer in der Nutzung: der Karabinerverschluss öffnet unten, wo die Rolle ist. Damit muss man etwas mehr "friemeln", wenn man den Karabiner einhaltenhat es aber leichter beim einhängen des Seils.
