An early introduction to "Sound of Music"
I was looking for a toy for my neighbor's child (not an Indian child) that is showing disinterest in engaging with typical toys. The pediatrician believes he may be showing early signs of autism. His parents have tried several more traditional ways to engage him but have not been successful. I stumbled upon this book while reading reviews and decided to gift it. Bingo! It really brought the joy to the child. He continues to listen to the sounds and is slowly moving to higher level tones and more complex melodies ahead of his age. This book gave his parents an insight into a nontraditional method to introduce the music.I believe this is a great book to introduce music to children -- whether classical or not. I have read somewhere that one should start introducing music to infants as soon as you bring them home. This is just an interactive format without involving a screen (smart phone or television). I would recommend it to all babies and toddlers -- whether Indian or not. I cannot wait to see what comes next from this author.

Great sound quality and into to Indian instruments!
Really captivated a 1 year old. Illustrations and music samples for each instrument were well done. I would highly recommend this book to help introduce children to indian music.

Baby Sangeet beloved by babies!
Babies love this book from a very early age. The snatches of music grab their attention. I have bought several copies as a unique and much appreciated baby gift.

A perfect book for toddlers
It is an excellent book and should be a great gift to parents of very young babies. It has attractive meaningful illustrations, and lovely music. As many parents have already written, this book is very well organized and presented. This book is really an original idea. I have not seen such books about the classical Indian music for babies of that age. In our own experience, we had noticed that when our daughter was only a few months old, she would stop crying when she heard some specific songs. Later, we discovered that many parents had noticed that kind of reaction of the babies. This clearly shows that the babies have feelings for music and can actually identify classical raga-based music even at a very early age. I am not a child psychologist, but I think it should be possible to develop the interest of babies in music, which must help in their intellectual development. The authors and the illustrator of this book have done a great service to parents by creating and producing this book.I am giving it 5 stars because there is no provision for giving 6 stars.

Extraordinary musical book!
This musical book is extraordinary! The sound quality is great and my kids really enjoy reading this. I come from a family of Hindustani classical musicians and it’s so important that I can introduce the music to my kids in this way. The illustrations are fantastic. And my kids ages 10 months and 3 years live it so much I’m buying extra copies to keep around. Great job with the music!!

Perfect Gift to Ignite interest in Music
High quality graphics, thick 'pagea' for very young kids to handle, excellent selection of short classical Indian music pieces played on a good range of common musical instruments. This was a gift for a 1.5yr old child, and he just couldn't let go of the book, flipping pages and repeatingly playing the flute, veena, tabla, and mridangam pieces.Very valuable and meaningful gift for a young child.

My favorite gift for babies and toddlers
It introduces children at a very early age to various instruments and their sounds. It is unique because the instruments are ones used in traditional Indian classical concerts. I haven’t come across another book like this. Also, the sound clarity is amazing. Kudos to the author for this brilliant book!
