These were great! I bought enough for each person in my family to have one for our trip to Disney World. The fabric is lightweight, soft and comfortable and is able to hold quite a bit of water. It can fold up into a compact space and so is great for traveling. I was concerned that they may not help much in the humid Florida heat, but they really did help cool us down. I found that in order to be effective they had to be pretty wet, so be aware that your shirt will have wet marks from the towel.

I have MS and have a very hard time tolerating the heat. I bought these for a trip to tropical islands and was very happy with their effectiveness. They are lightweight and very comfortable around my neck. They stayed wet and cool for much longer than expected, but also dried quickly when not being used.

Works great... Traveled with it and it is light/takes little space and kept us cool in Mexico!

I honestly don't know how these things work, but they are magical. We brought the cooling towels with us to Italy in August. We carried them in a large zip lock bag. As we were walking around the Rome, we wet the towels from the many fountains and wrapped them around our necks. It was instant relief from the heat. When done, we placed them back in our ziplock bags to keep the contents of our bags dry. It also kept them from drying out when we weren't using them. They were a godsend when climbing Vesuvius.
