Excellent Tank
I have had two of these Coralife BioCube Aquariums for over 20 years and just bought my third. They are durable, easy to keep clean and large enough for a micro environment. I cannot comment on how they are with salt water as I have only been interested in the freshwater tanks, but I can say that with the back filtration system built in and the wonderfully upgraded lighted lid, this tank has always been a showstopper anywhere I place them in the house. When I kept white mountain minnows in one I never had to have any heat but when I switched to a warmer water fish like the tropical guppies and swordtail fish that require a little heat in my area, adding a heater to the back was extremely easy and kept it out of view. I would recommend this tank to anyone - beginner or expert. There are so many opportunities with this tank. Be sure though that you get a larger micro fish or a sponge to cover the intake outlets on the inside of the tank as small fry, and smaller micro fish like the neon tetra can actually get through to the filtration system. ALSO Be sure to fill your tank to check for leakage prior to set up. These tanks are well packaged and cared for in the shipping process, but accidents do happen. Enjoy your new tank!

Really nice tank.
I really love this tank and yes a few MODS made it a bit better and easier to care for in the long rung. In honesty most people will MOD their tanks its just part of the hobby. As a stock tank I think it will work fine too for most people. The lighting system is what you mainly paying for it and a nice tank overall its a good deal. I attached a video matter of fact my Computer is louder then the tank in the video. It was bit cloudy when setting it up but clear up overnight which is 100% normal. Please clean you glass before with maybe a damp sponge before adding anything, I forgot too, I have since cleaned it but would have been easier without the stuff in the tank. Remember no chemicals cleaners on the inside of the glass ever empty or not. MODS are In-Tank media basket and 9001 Tunze skimmer still working on the Tunze. Mustangarrett seemed to have bashed this tank for being as loud as a dirt devil as you can tell in the video it is not. Shipping was done good but would have liked them on the outside box to place fragile or glass on it. It was unmarked, luckily it arrived undamaged. I did have a slight rubbing sound coming from the fan on the 1st night but I accidentally slammed the lid and the sound went away and yes the fan still works. That is a bonus on durability. The discharge hose from the pump was 2 inches too short. I had to float the pump up to connect the discharge tube to the outlet nozzle. Wrote the seller about that issue and they resolved it. Great customer service. I have it placed over my desk on top of the file cabinet, I would normally not suggest a full tank on a desk but seems to be working good I did a standing/ bouncing test on my desk before attempting this. All in all very happy camper after 3 weeks of research I do not regret my 1st saltwater tank purchase at all.

Beautiful Small Tank
I've owned fish aquariums for the past 50 years from this 16 gallon BioCube, on up to 75 gallon tanks. Probably most important thing with owning this tank is resist the urge to keep adding fish to it. I keep freshwater small fish, neon tetras, Harlequin Rasboras, Rummy nose tetras, no more than 6 of each, freshwater snail, and two Corydoras Catfish. This fish are all about an inch long and get along together without fighting. The tank can be setup as a saltwater tank or freshwater tank. The tank has a back compartment hidden from view that houses the filter equipment. The filter pump is silent, and the led lighting is beautiful. Please save yourself some aggravation and look up a YouTube video on how to program the lights. The lighting can be set up to mimic a 24 hr day, from dawn to full sunlight and to dusk and off. Can be complicated to set reading the enclosed instructions, so that's why I say a YouTube video will make it easy. You'll have to add a heater to the tank, it doesn't come with one. Also might want to add an airstone in water to help keep water oxygenated and stirred up being as the tank cover is a tight fit and doesn't allow air to hit the surface of it. Because this is a small tank if you want it to stay clean looking, you'll have to clean the glass often inside. I use my hand a a small square sponge, just wash your hands before. I've found the bigger the aquarium the easier to keep clean. This tank also comes in 32 gallon or close to it. I keep this tank at the end of my bed in corner of room, very relaxing to watch at night when lights turn to blue moonlight phase before shutting off for the night.

Expensive
We have two of these. The first one, purchased two years ago, started to fail as soon as we got it. First, the power filter failed. We did frequent water changes until we installed an external power filter. Then, the pump failed. Last week, the lights went out. The second aquarium we purchased over a year ago is doing great. Fish are happy, and the plants grow like crazy with hardly any maintenance. I think we just got a lemon with the first one. Call me crazy, but I just purchased a third biocube because I love the look, and it fits into the space we already have for it.

Nice!
Very nice aquarium. Easy setup, however I could not get the programmable timer straight. I did what the instructions said but still no luck. I choose the manual setting anyway. Lights are pretty. Fish are happy! The hummmm from the filter motor is a little loud but not a deal breaker by any means. Using for fresh water fish. The reason I got this tank is because the back wall hides all cords, tubes and equipment!

10/10 tank
Looks great ! Size is amazing ! The height especially for sword plants ! Worth the price. Very functional. I made sure I bought this type of tank for my freshwater since it’s meant for salt, less of a hassle ! One thing I learned with the lights sunrise to sunset was phenomenal just don’t leave it on all day I was doing it from 7:30-10:30pm giving it the natural wake up and go to bed but it was promoting algae bloom the water look cloudy so I adjusted to no more the 4 -5 hrs on. The only thing disappointing was the night of the stand they promote it with

Fantastic Tank!
Wanted to stat up a new reef tank that was easy to take care of. I would suggest getting a circulation pump if you are adding a lot of rock like me. Tank cycled within 3 weeks. Easy to setup and get going. Glad I decided on this model. Just perfect for what I wanted. I have 15lbs of rock and 15lbs of sand. With probably add another 5lbs of sand next week. That will give me about a 1” depth. Hopes this helps out on what you need.

Eerily Quiet
I've owned a reef tank for about 4 years now and recently moved, so decided to replace my old 20 gallon for a BioCube. This thing is amazing, I should have bought it years ago. Right out of the box it contains everything you need (except for a heater or protein skimmer). I'm so used to noisy tanks, but with this one, you can't hear a thing. It's almost too eerily quiet. Maintenance on this one should be a breeze, compared to my previous tank which was a PITA to clean. It's definitely worth it for the price. I also like that it has LED lights, which aids in keeping the tank cooler, and uses less electricity than CFL. Programming the lights was easy, but I did have to use google in order to find the right settings. So far, I am impressed, and my corals and creatures seem to like it.
