Jandy Genuine Parts 180 Degree, 2" - 2 1/2" Check Valve, 7305

Recently installed this along with a new pool heat pump configuration. It works great along with a separately purchased diverter valve to limit flow to the heat pump. No leaks and was easy to fit in with existing PVC layout.

I was really glad to find this check valve on Amazon since I needed one really quickly and the local pool store did not have them in stock and would have taken a while for them to order and receive them. The price was also higher than the price on Amazon. I need to replace the valve since the water in my raised hot tub which has water overflow into my pool kept going lower and lower each night to the point that eventually it was almost half empty after one night. And it took a while in the morning for the water to fill the hot tub as well. Replacing the valve fixed the problem. I actually didn't use the full pipe/valve that came in the package, but only replaced the valve itself and used the new screws that it came with, and now I have the extra valve pipe to use in the future in case I need it. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Worked out great almost cheaper than buying just the flapper valve by itself. Made in Mexico

After the Texas winter storm, my pentair check valve and other components cracked. I could not find these parts anywhere and the pool companies could not come out to fix it. I found this part on Amazon, ordered it after making sure it was compatible. Installation was easy and it worked great. When my pool guy finally came out I asked him if it was ok to replace the pentair with it and he said "sure a check valve is a check valve". Just make sure the valve is installed with the flow in the correct direction.

I considered spending $8 at the hardware store for a generic version of this. The difference is you can take this apart while inline and replace o-rings and gaskets, and you can disable it for the winter. Very quality workmanship.

Does exactly what it needs to do. Keeps the pool water in the pipe to the pump intake. No hassles. Long life. My old Jandy check valve had to be replaced after 20 years of use as some of the other valves needed replacment, and it seemed like a good time to do them all. Easy apart for cleaning. Fits 2 inch pipe into the valve body. 2 1/2" pipe uses a coupling over the valve body. Use Grey Glue for all fittings 2" & up for best performance.

Installed this product in my pools plumbing system and it works fine.
