Stride Rite Baby and Toddler Boys Cooper Casual Sneaker

The shoes arrived on time. They look exactly the way they do in the picture. My son likes wearing them to school. He says that they now make him the fastest runner in the class! I am giving these sneakers four stars because when I close the straps they don't cover the entire Velcro and I don't really like the way it looks. It's as if he had very high arches and the straps are not long enough. I've pulled on them thinking that maybe they were not all the way out,but they are. Don't get me wrong the shoe is on securely but I just don't like that about the shoe.

These shoes are well made, GOOD LEATHER LIGHT WEIGHT, I ordered size 9 for my toddler granddaughter, as this is what she normally wears but these are a bit large. They will have to be broken into. Once the weather is colder, with an extra sock it should be fine. At least the little feet will be nice and warm. Nice shoe, good quality, good grip on bottom, no bother with laces has good Velcro closings easy to put shoe on and close securely on a small kids foot. School day play time will be great. GOOD SHOE.

My kids needed this particular brand to wear with their school uniform, but partway through the school year, they already outgrew their shoes. The fit is as expected and my children find the shoes to be very comfortable for running around and all of the usual things kids love to do. The price here at Amazon is much better than the store the school recommends for uniform purchases, but the brand and quality are just as good. I will definitely buy here again the next time my kids out grow their shoes. The shoes are wearing well and seem pretty easy to clean by wiping down every so often.

My 6-7 year old has now gotten 9 months out of wear (including a lot of playground play) out of them. What I like about these sneakers is that they last. But I have to warn you that they start looking cracked and awful pretty fast. Now these weren't uniform shoes for my child - just sneakers and I've bought many pairs over the years and will continue to buy them. But if looks is high on your priority radar - this isn't the right shoe. If holding up under daily wear for months and months with a lot of wear is what you want - it's a great buy.

I am not sure I like these sneakers. The price is good, which is why I bought them here. I used to buy Stride Rite Zeke for my little guy, but he's now outgrown the toddler model. I figured that this one (Cooper) would be the same, just bigger. Well it's not. The shoe has a plasticky appearance, and although it said it was leather, it was very hard and uncomfortable looking. It was also a bulky shoe. I'm not a believer in "having to break in the shoe". I think that is the job of a manufacturer, to make already comfortable shoes. Especially if they are kid's sneakers. Honestly I am disappointed with what I've seen in "big boy" shoes. I think that's not their target market any more. They would rather concentrate on baby and toddler shoes. I think it might be time for me to switch the brand.

I bought these for my middle girl. I got the same shoes for my oldest daughter in kindergarten and she's still using them in second grade (granted I know some kids' feet grow faster than that) but she's wore these sneakers almost every day to school for two years and they are in perfect shape. I love the quality, they are made to last. I got these white ones bc honestly I'm not to crazy about pink and glitter sneakers, i love basics in clothing. I strongly recommend these sneakers. I don't have enough good things to say about them

My 9yr old loves these, wears them to school and on weekends. After 4 months, holes appeared in the soles of the shoe. He actually got a rock stuck in the sole, so a new pair is on order. is this normal wear after 4 months? not sure. Originally purchased a pair of Champions that wore holes within 6 weeks - so - I guess 4 months is great by comparison. No problems with the velcro straps, stitching or other parts of the shoes.
