The smell and taste were both unbearable
As soon as I opened the container the stench filled the room. The taste was so aweful I spit it out immediately. What a waste of money! I would rather eat my belly button lint than eat another one of these!

Too sweet for Me
The kumquats looked good but too sweet, not an ounce of tartness anywhere. Not recommended for anyone who likes the tart taste or diabetics, it's way to sweet. The price of the item overall is not worth it.

Something surprising
I love candied oranges and so expected this to be close to the version I buy in the US. But this is surprising. Yes, the kumquats are candied and covered in sugar crystals, but they are also a bit bitter from the peel and they are more dry than I anticipated. I have a plan to make a small batch of orange marmalade and add these to that -- very thinly sliced. It could be interesting and surprising. I have never eaten these before so have no comparison with other brands or styles. But every now and then something new and untried is a good way to start a new year.

These are oranges, this is an imported product!
These are absolutely beautiful and exotic! Just the treat I needed for winter, they are dried kumquats coated in confectioners sugar. This is literally an imported item, there is no English written anywhere on this container other than the sticker they put on for shipping. They come in what resembles a pop lid can, the lid peels off like sardines and it has a replaceable lid for storage. They are slightly bitter, and have seeds and skins because they are literally whole dried oranges, I see coments in here with people saying they taste bad. If you expect it to be orange candy from America it is not! Do not buy these thinking it is orange candy because you will be disappointed, that is not the purpose of this product. I see people complaining about price, but for me it's justified to try an exotic treat that cannot be found where I come from. What I find interesting about these is how they are able to dry the little fruits without them looking like shriveled brains, how do they do that? I love them, and wouldn't hesitate to buy again. Enjoy!

Taste
Very bitter , they were supposed to be tart like a kumquat.

The size. The quality.
Very tiny for the price. I would definitely not recommend this product.

More bitter than expected, but good.
For those familiar with kumquats from Florida, you eat them whole and they are sweet, tart, and slightly bitter when eaten whole. The kumquats from Japan are heavy on the bitter side which the sugar almost makes up for.

Not sure what would have possessed me to buy these. But, Listen, I went into this thinking I’d discovered some magical little Asian citrus treats. Snow Oranges. Cute name. Sounds refreshing. Maybe whimsical. Maybe even life changing. Nope. These things could shatter a tooth. I opened the container and immediately wondered if I was actually supposed to eat them or use them to defend myself in a street fight. They looked like tiny candied oranges but tasted like someone tried to mummify a tangerine and then forgot about it for ten years. Beside an actual mummy. The texture? Imagine a gummy bear that died, was reincarnated as a rock, and then lost the will to live. The flavor? Picture disappointment, dipped in sadness, rolled in stale sugar, and left to air dry in a forgotten kitchen drawer. I tried to bite one. My molar filed a complaint. Absolutely zero out of ten. The only snow involved was the frosty silence between me and the container after I realized I had been betrayed. Kids, shopping with the munchies is a dangerous game. Sometimes you win a few rounds and it is glorious! But, many times the universe schools you because who the hell do you think you are anyway?!

Soft, sweet, has a few seeds which I don’t mind. If you enjoy sweets, it’s worth a try.
