I started taking the Manuka honey because I had terrible, terrible sharp pain in my stomach, excessive burping and bloating, and I felt full when I had hardly eaten, just a few bites of food. I starting taking the honey after the doctor did test on me. The doctor ordered a barium upper GI which came back normal. No ulcers, no acid reflux, no masses, no gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining), nothing, zip, nada. Yet, I knew something was terribly wrong as I was very sick to my stomach. Even though the test results showed no abnormality. I requested that a blood test be done for Helicobacter Pylori aka H. Pylori to be done. I had H. Pylori in the past and read a medical doctors book that it can come back. I purchased the Manuka Doctor UMF 24 from my local Health Food Store and in 2 days the pain in my stomach stopped. I was so happy about my natural remedy that I ordered 3 more jars of the Manuka Doctor Honey from Amazon. I continued taking 2 tbsp of honey daily and began to feel like myself again. I had learned about the Manuka Honey from a woman who was on the Dr. Oz show, who also had stomach disorders. That is why I decided to give the Manuka honey a try and I am so glad that I did. The Manuka Doctor is 100% pure honey which comes from New Zealand. It got its name from the Manuka bushes that grow in that country and the bees get on the bush and produce the honey. Thank Jesus for the bees and the Manuka bushes. This honey IS NOT processed, and is a light beige color. Not like the processed clear yellow syrupy stuff called honey in the U.S. supermarkets. Nine days after the blood test, I received the blood test results in the mail that I tested positive again for H. Pylori infection. A very bad strain of bacteria in my stomach. This was what was causing my pain, bloating, belching and feeling of fullness. This was why I was so sick and could not eat solid foods. I was on a liquids and soft food diet and drank only purified water, and I stopped eating all meat except eggs. H. Pylori can really make you very sick. I want to add here, be proactive and take charge of your own health and listen to your body, and research for yourself. I did, and I found the root cause of my trouble before the doctors even knew. In my research, I learned that the Manuka Honey "completely inhibits the growth of H. Pylori bacteria". As I work with my Doctor who believes in the conventional medical treatment, I have decided NOT to use the antibiotics and antacids which can make the problem worst and the H. Pylori resistant to antibiotic treatment, but I will take the Manuka Honey daily for 6 months, 2 tbs daily, and then take another blood test to see if the H. Pylori is eradicated. So.....Lord willing...meaning that if I am still living on the planet.... I will write another review and let everyone know the outcome, whether the Manuka honey killed the bacteria for good or not. But in the meantime be assured that it is very helpful for stomach disorders, and I might add it taste really good too. I never liked the clear yellow processed honey in the United States at all, but now I love the Manuka honey and plan to keep it around. I hope my review helps you. Usually, when something is good for me, even if it tastes bad I can muscle it down. Green powder for example. Manuka Honey is good for you but the taste of this one is so bad. I just can’t do it again. I literally gagged. It feels very gritty which I expect in raw honey. It is also thick and darker in color as it should be. There is nothing sweet about this at all. It kind of tasted like chemicals or vinegarish and it burned my throat all the way down to my stomach. I have had Manuka Honey in the past and it was delicious. This is the first time I tried the monoflora kind or this brand. Maybe that has something to do with it. I have read reviews that say it tastes great. I don’t know how anyone could say that. I ate a teaspoon of it right from the jar. Maybe in a tea mixed with better tasting honey it could work. I wanted to like this but I just can’t. The benefits it provides are worth it if you can get it down. If you’re looking for something that tastes great as well as having these amazing benefits, keep looking. The search continues…

I’m on a holistic new journey and “splurged” on this honey to see if it really does help. I don’t use it often but both times I’ve used it, I did for medical purposes and it worked beyond my expectations! 1st time I put a teaspoon over onions for cold/congestion, let it sit over night then drank the liquid - it cleared me up in a day! The 2nd time I applied a thin layer over a burn from boiling water & within an hour it’s like the burn never happened! I’ll continue to use it holistically because I can’t afford to use it daily but this honey is fantastic! Worth every penny and I truly believe it kept me from getting a major respiratory infection, saving money from doctor visits!
