I just received my new Bulova Marine Star Gold faced watch with a silicone strap. The face or watch bezel is both beautiful and easy to read. The Roman style numerals on the face of the watch add a touch of elegance to it. This automatic watch has an open heart which shows both the escapement or balance wheel and mainspring. It has an open or exhibition back so that the wearer can view the movement from both front and back sides of the watch. I happen to know that the movement is a Japanese Myiota movement which is a great and hard working movement. An automatic watch is really a mechanical watch with a rotor attachment which winds the watch while you wear it. The rotor is attached to a small generator which winds the mainspring on the watch with the movement of your wrist during the normal wearing of the watch. Quart watches are a bit more accurate than an automatic watch, but you will never have to replace a watch battery with an automatic watch. In my opinion, the accuracy difference is negligible. The watch came with a 3 year warranty which shows that Bulova backs it's watches!... My wife and I were dating 47 years ago. My first gift to her was a Bulova mechanical watch which is still working perfectly today with limited amount of use. She rotates her wrist watches. My personal experience with Bulova watch has been a great one. Bulova makes a quality watch which will give it's owner years of good service. I am a bit of a watch geek, so I know more about watch features and movements than the average purchaser. I am very pleased with the look of the watch and know that it will serve me well for many years to come. You will not be disappointed with a Bulova watch.

Absolutely love this watch. The band and face are such a vibe and the watch is easily serviceable with a 3D printed back removal tool. I recently regulated this watch from +20 seconds a day down to only a couple following tutorials by Wristwatch Revival on Youtube.

I love the bulova brand. But im very disappointed in this model. To constantly have to wind it up and correct the time about every two days is annoying. It is a beautiful design but complicated to operate without doing damage.

The watch actually arrived a day earlier than estimated. Package and box containing the watch were in pristine condition. A thorough examination of the watch revealed flawless workmanship that far exceeded all my expectations. The Marine Star (in black) is my first Bulova. Compared with my two atomic G shocks, the Bulova is keeping extremely accurate time. I tested the reserve power by giving it a full wind and keeping it in a perfectly stationary position. It surpassed 42 hours and would probably last longer except I wanted to wear it to church. The Marine Star doesn't have a date display which is fine with me. Unlike my other watches, this Bulova is a heavyweight but is comfortable, fits my wrist well, and after a few minutes me and the watch become "one". Eventhough it is is rated at 600 ft water resistance, there is no way this beauty will find itself under water. I think it's a quality watch at a fair price that will give me many years of service and enjoyment.

This watch is truly beyond words—an exquisite piece worth every dollar it costs, delivering unmatched elegance and value.

It is a beautiful watch. The gold against the black strap is simply gorgeous. I will be changing to a leather black strap though. The open heart is beautiful and the watch bezel's unique shapes nicely accentuate the entire look of the watch. It is suitable as an elegant watch for formal occasions. I like the fonts on the watch face and the white based hands contrasted nicely against the black face. It is not ostentatious but elegant. It is not a small and its fits nicely on my wrist. It is hard to get an open heart at this price range and Bulova quality is acceptable.

The watch is very beautiful and very precise, considering it is mechanical automatic. An eye catcher, for sure. The band is comfortable. It is more on the sporty/casual line, I would not wear it as a dress watch.

C'est une belle montre qu'ont peut porter tout les jours vu qu'elle une allure sportive et classique en même temp. Pour le prix je pense est le moins cher dans le marché. Le seul problème qu'il faut la porter presque tous les jours si non elle s'arrête à fonctionner et je crois que c'est l'inconvenient de toutes les montres automatiques.
