When mild-mannered Bruce Wayne wanted to become a super-hero, it was the Mask that made the man! You'll be ready to save Gotham City, or at least the party, when you wear this full overhead latex mask with cowl for complete coverage. Officially licensed accessory from Rubie's Costume Company, the world leader in dress-up for all ages and occasions.

Way too small unless you have a very tiny cranium.
While I think I have an average adult male head size (my wife my say differently), this mask was way, way too small. While that’s not the end of the world, Amazon will not let me return this item? Not sure I understand that policy but here we are so buyer beware.

Now I too can be vengence and the night!
I have been a long time Batman fan. Ever since I first saw the 1989 Tim Burton film staring Michael Keaton.I grew up on the Animated Series, Beyond and the Justice League series of Batman, not so much the comics, but I know his lore well enough. This Dark Knight latex mask is more than perfect for the price. The neck does not come down into the shoulders as the pic shows though, just the neck/clavicle region and it tapers to a point in the back.Even though TDK wasn't my absolute favorite interpretation of Batman, there is no denying how awesome you feel while wearing this mask. Perfect for cos-players on a budget or fans of The Dark Knight (both character and film). There are only a few nit-picks with this mask.1. This is definitely more like the Batman Begins mask, than the sequels (The Dark Knight, The Dark Night Rises). So the name is a bit misleading, but who cares?! It's still undeniably Batman.2. Because it is a latex mask, there are some strange folds in the rubber. Nothing good support and a blow dryer can't fix though.3. The ears are hollow. You'll need to stuff them with something for them to keep their shape. I'm currently using pieces of a foam camping pad cut to the shape of the ears, but I plan on filling them with expanding foam.4. The back doesn't line up perfectly. As I said, it tapers to a point in the back, with a split down the middle so you can get it on and off. Rubie's has also sewn in two velcro (hook and loop) sections so the mask closes. The only issue I have with that, is that the two points don't meet at the bottom as they should. But That's a moot issue as it is the back of the mask.5. The details are a bit on the soft side. Not as pronounced as the image looks, but that could just be clever studio lighting.OVERALL, I love this cowl. If anything ever happens to it, I'll more than happily spend my money with Rubie's again.

Looks great but things to know
Best looking and most realistic batman mask but.... had to make alot of alterationsNeck is too loose to have it fit under a collar like it should I decided to glue new velcro to fis that issue.Nose is way too smallSome areas the material has holes and is pretty weak because of that. I tied to cut the nose area and it was too flimsy so I had to cut the under part and decided to glue in a fabric in its place. Without that part of my nose would just be sticking out.I was surprised at how small the check and mouth area was. Had to cut out alot to make it work but I blame the quarantine and getting chunky for that one.Lastly as mentioned by another person on a review the top part of the back breaks when you take off the mask you you either have to reinforce or be extra careful. All in all I don't expect it to fit perfect but I did find it to be too small and didn't expect their to be holes in the most fragile of parts.Made my costume but I'd suggest to have some black paint around your eyes for the full effect. FYI the black paint is the worst to take off.. took about 8 washes before I got it all out

For a once a year thing, this mask works great, however, it comes with noticable "oopsies"
I wanted to get a actual Batman Cowl I could wear at work and create a laugh for the customers. For being around 30 bucks, it did a pretty good job. When I put makeup on and such, put on a cape, used the nolan batman voice, it looked and sounded good. However, I do not recommend this for someone who has a really large head (Especially if you are quite overweight, and have a fat face.) Reason I say this is when you attach it in the back, it squeezes your face, and your cheeks.I wore this for probably about 4 hours. And let me tell you, just a hour of wearing this, I was dying to take it off. My ears hurt, and I sweat a lot in it (It all drained to the nose piece.) This mask is more meant for a large head, if your not fat (Unless there isn't much fat on your face and neck). It fit almost right on me. Its just not comfortable to wear longer then a half hour, unless you have a slightly smaller head, then at least it won't be so tight and uncomfortable. Now the GOOFS of the mask.- One eye hole is clearly bigger then the other- The mouth hole part is noticably uneven. By this I mean it looks 1.5 inches on one side, and 1 inch on the other side of the nose- Due to how its shipped, some parts of the rubber may curl inwards, or take a shape you can't fix without doing lot of heavy tweaking. For me a corner of a eye hole curled inwards, and it was noticeable, and it scraped on your eyebrow. It was annoying. I recommend you fill the mask with tissue or paper, so it doesn't lay squished.-The trimming on the eye hole and mouth hole was pretty sloppy, I had to use a razer blade and evenly trim the edges. It looked like it was rushed. Be careful though, with one eye hole bigger then the other, it can make it look even more weird if you cut too much off by mistake.- The Velcrow may need some additional glue. parts of mine weren't..Also, you may have to stuff the ears with tissue, so they stay in shape. Easy enough. Its also not shaped like the picture, the bottom portion that would go under your clothes (Recommended), there isn't as much show in the picture. Its pretty much just the neck park. Doesn't go much farther then that. The back piece goes farther back some like a V.All in all, Its a pretty good mask for the price. Its not perfect, but its pretty damn decent. When I had everything on, I looked just like batman. Pretty awesome. Just remember not to wear it for long periods. Actually wish there were vents in this, so it can breath. However if your looking for a perfect mask, this isn't quite it. There are visible mistakes, some fixable, some not.

Great quality mask, but definitely for a smaller head
So the mask is a good quality and would probably fit very well if I had a smaller face. In the photos, you can see my cheeks and mouth puffing out of the opening because it is so snug on my face. And to make my nose fit in the proper nose place, my eyes end up at the very top of the eye opening. It would obviously look better with black makeup around the eyes. A little too small for my head, but if you have a smaller head, it will be an awesome mask.

Brilliant Batman Mask!
I am so pleased I got this. It totally looks the part and is brilliant for both parties and low level novice crime fighting. The rubber stretches around my head well and the velcro secures it around the back. It fits snuggly but is a bit sweaty when worn over long periods especially if chasing bad guys through Gotham. The way it covers your nose and ears does restrict breathing and hearing to a degree however looks the part even more so if black eye make up is added around the eye sockets area as in the films. Minus the full costume effort on its own it looks a bit final-scene-of-Pulp-Fiction wrong and not really suitable for a children's party as I intended but in the full gear it looks brilliant and only a little intimidating. It is worth noting that it is in no way armoured and thus can't really be endorsed as appropriate for any unwise costumed vigilante escapades but is perfect for fancy dress. The utility belt, gloves and cape I used for my effort are added in links below. Hope that helps a bit batfans!https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B073ZWXY92/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0073E54I4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00QF71FWO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

quality bargain, instant dark knight
everyone else put good reviews, bought it, not disappointed. exact same as picture, and when you put it on theres this first moment of "oh no its too tight it doesnt fit", but then when u pull it down over your head you realise it elasticates to fit snugly on your face, so its both comfortable and well-fitting.when you first look in the mirror its striking how much it makes you resemble the christian bale batman, and although my cosplay/halloween costume im making will be the ben affleck version, its no problem as it serves just as well as a general batman mask as it does a dark knight film one.added bonus it smells like playdough. excellent mask for the money, the reason theres only 2 widely available batman masks even though batman is so popular, is because this one hits the nail on the head and they didnt need to design variations.

Brilliant product! My girlfriend said I was mad for buying it and I would never wear it. All my friends think it's great and I wear it as often as I can. I do the house work while wearing it, and sometimes I just sit around watching TV wearing it. Top Buy!

Looks great! But not for large headed people.
Really good looking mask. Just too small for anyone with a large head, I can just about get it on but it's extremely tight. Can't really wear it myself to be honest. Fine for the average head though. Would get really sweaty too if it's hot out, as it's full rubber. Might make some adjustments and try and get it to work.

Good Quality and Inexpensive.
Unless you are willing to part with around £300-400 for a movie quality cowl this will definitely do. It’s actually quite well made and is a good copy of the Dark Knight Batman cowl. I wore it on Halloween night this year and everyone loved it. Recommended.
