Great value
Been using these filters for years. Very happy with them and their performance. Have a very sediment heavy water table/well in my area, they work fantasticly. Love being able to buy 25 at a time and stock up. Even my water system guy is impressed with the quality and price.

These look like the real deal at an exceptional price.
These filters fit perfectly in my Aquasana whole house well filter system's pre-filter housing. They look exactly like the filter they replaced and I suspect are made in the same factory. They come in a big sturdy box, so have a place to store all of them. I'm happy to have found a working replacement for a fraction of the price.

The price is right
I purchased these filters to replace much more expensive 5-micron string filters that I've been using. The inner diameter of the tube is larger than my old filters and I was worried at first that they would not fit into the filter housing and seal tightly enough to prevent bypass leakage around the ends. After 3-weeks however, there doesn't seem to be any such leakage. It appears to be filtering particles from all of the water that passes through it. These filters are also slightly thicker than conventional string-wound filters. I don't really know if they'll last as long as my string-wound filters did (6-months) which is why I hesitate to give it a higher rating. It probably will but only time will tell. Edit: I've now used one of the filters for 4-months with no problems. In fact, it seems to filter the water much better than the string 5-micron filters I was previously using. Much better water pressure too. I've upgraded them to 5-stars.

Does work in a 5x20 BB housing (Use toothpicks) Backflush info too
These are working good for some iron and sediment removal, yet with good flow so far (1 week). I usually run 4.5x20 in Big Blue housings x2 inline for entire house incoming raw water. Amazon Prime won't ship 4.5 inch dia to Alaska without a huge charge, so I went with 2.5 dia in 5" dia x 20" Big Blue housings and works good. I used 3 or 4 toothpicks to center the top of filter within the 5 inch dia housing so it seats in center. I will order again! Also to note you might want to back flush your water heater (cold) fill housings with 2-4 cups bleach and fill water heater with relief closed to run air and water behind pressure to clean out your lines, also back flush through the drain port works like a charm! repeat 4-5x without bleach to rinse. After 20 years I did this 5 times also reversing the cold and hot water lines on water heater to blow the cold lines out too! Some real nasty stuff you will see.

Works great in our pre water softener Iron filter. We have gone 6-9 months without changing it.
Good value for the money. Much cheaper than others and works just as well. I will purchase again for sure! As stated by others, if anything it just filters better than the string, or 30, 50 micron filters do. It gets loaded up with iron in our system. As long as you have good water psi. it is good to go. We have to use Iron out salts in our system as well. Toilet bowls and tub aren't getting iron stains as soon as with the old string 30 or 50 micron filters that cost us a lot more. If in doubt I would try one for a few months to see how it is working in your system. If everything is good, then go for the bulk purchase!

I originally got these a year ago for about $11 each, I see they gave gone up to about $26 each. I left them in for a year, as I change the bulb annually. It says for 12months usage, but I'm pretty sure I calculated our usage by gallons to be far less. It seemed as dirty as the previous filter so no complaints. Hadn't really checked for seapage leaks, as it seemed to be identical to the original I removed. SO far really good, and they sell a 25 pack case that works out to about $8 each, so I will likely purchase that and be good for the next 12-25 years.
