I have a 25 year old shower door that stopped staying closed. Then pieces of the magnetic strip started breaking off and falling out. I was worried I would need a new door. Instead, I ordered these strips. It was a tight fit getting them to slide in. I didn't want to loosen them too much but I found a bit of liquid soap worked well. The magnet works so well I have to put a bit of pressure now, to get the door to open. I am going to use caps now. Please don't think I'm shouting. I just want everyone to know ... These strips look identical. They are polarized down one side. There is a small groove in the rubber to indicate this. WHEN HUNG THE GROOVE ON THE DOOR PIECE AND THE GROOVE ON THE FRAME PIECE NEED TO BE ON OPPOSITE SIDES. If you feel the magnet is weak or not holding double check that you have not accidentally installed them groove to groove.

The product is adequate for its intended use and was easy enough to install. Please note: 1- before you order this product, be sure if you need the type of magnetic strips that slide into a grove or need to be self-adhesive... this is the type that slides into a track or groove in the door frame and is NOT self-adhesive. 2- There is a groove in the face of the magnetic strip that indicates polarity... pay attention to its position when inserting it into track. 3- Be aware the the magnets must be inserted with opposite polarities facing each other or they will not work right and will actually repel each other... I see reviews where people don't seem to understand this... before you install it test which way they must install and if it seems like they are not attracting towards each other, flip ONE around.

Was able to replaced magnet in shower door instead of getting a new door. Great for the value!

Needed to replace the magnetic strip in my shower door. This was the perfect size, easy to use, durable and easy to cut to the correct length. It is working fine. However, the magnet isn't super strong.

Trash , does not fit exact in the channel needs to be forced in and magnet is extremely weak. Unfortunately can't return because it needed to be cut and trimmed to fit in the door channel before realizing how junk this thing is.

While this was easy to install, it slides right out every time you open the door.

Replaced old shower door magnets and man can I say these are stronger than the original ones! Will most likely buy more for other projects! Just make sure you line up the lines on the faces of the magnets!

Very disappointed that the 2 rolls of magnetic tape, or not magnetic. Do not stick to each other, or to any steel surface tried subsequently.

It fits, easy to install and it works.
