The Near East brand is the only box rice we buy. Tastes great and cooks fast and all natural ingredients. Sad to see the price of this Long Grain & wild rice flavor almost double in price from when we bought a case last year. This one is gluten-free too which I love. But won’t pay twice the cost so I won’t order again until the price comes down significantly.

I first discovered this brand maybe 20 yrs ago and it's still my family's favorite. I often take meals to people who are ill, had a baby or are just struggling and every time this rice is on the menu, they compliment me on it. Some buyers who miss the slivered almond version will be happy to know that buying the slivered almonds in bulk (I reccommend "Food 2 Live" brand) and adding a handful to each box of rice at the stove top, is equally as delicious as the discontinued version.
