I'm perfectly happy with the quality and performance of this cable, and the price was excellent. I've used this cable in two different ways to connect Apple equipment to my stereo with built-in DAC. The first one is connecting a Macbook Pro to an external DAC, or a stereo amp with a built-in DAC. The standard 3.5mm earphone jack on the Macbook Pro can output standard analog signals or optical. The second one is connecting an Apple Airport Express to an external DAC or stereo amp with built-in DAC. The Airport Express has the same dual-purpose 3.5mm audio output: analog or optical. In both of these applications, this cable allows you to bypass the DAC of the Macbook Pro or the Airport Express, which you'll want to do if you have a good stereo with built-in or external DAC. This significantly improves the sound quality. (I would also add that streaming to your system via wi-fi using an Airport Express is much better than streaming over bluetooth, I've done both and have done A/B comparisons - and it's far easier than I was expecting to set up the Airport Express to do this - I got my Airport Express refurbished from the Apple online refurbished store for 1/2 price and it is indistinguishable from a new one - highly recommended!) Important note: The 3.5mm analog output jack on most devices does NOT also support optical output. A few people who bought this cable did not know this and found the cable to be useless and gave it a bad review. That's not the cable's fault. Be sure this cable is what you really need before ordering. If it is, you'll be happy.

For those not most technically savvy, double check the purpose before purchasing just anything! I bought this item to replace an earlier order for a cable to connect my soundbar to my new TV. It needed a "toslink" cable to connect to optical port on the tv but a 3.mm pin connect on the sound bar. First one ordered did have that but required a double cable with a separate power system...unnecessary. I contacted the sound bar manufacturer who agreed and offered a recommendation for this item instead. It arrived on time, plugged in as needed without excess cord or separate power requirements. Works great; my sound system is now wonderful again!

Important 2026 update! You must use extreme caution when using this when pulling it out or putting it in for the square part. I think because it is metal, it can DESTROY the door on Toslink ports. The door swings up and actually has a part of it that locks the cable in. But these are METAL and the door is cheap and thin and plastic. Once a Toslink door is busted, that is it. It is OVER for that port! Replacing the Toslink is hard and expensive. So, it is over for the device or, you can now only use another port like a coaxial SPDIF. It the DAC or AVR has it. But, obviously, this one is for Toslink from a Toslink 3.5 mm port (like on an Airport Express). No other option! With that in mind, I have decided to no longer recomend these as they do not factor in cheap Toslink port doors. I lost a DAC to this cable.

The metal link worked on my TV, while my original plastic connector would not

Ordered the Toslink audio cable, but unfortunately it stopped working (no red light). Soundbar no longer connected to TV. It failed days after the return window with Amazon, so I contacted the manufacturer via email. They responded within hours of my message and have already sent a replacement. I gave three stars only due to the product being defective. But I have to give "five" stars for their customer service. They respond quickly and I would not hesitate to buy another product from this company.

Ich habe das FosPower Optische Digital-Audio-Toslink-auf-Mini-Toslink-Kabel (2 m) gekauft, um meinen Mac mit meiner DAC-Anlage zu verbinden. Solche Mini-Toslink-Kabel sind nicht überall in guter Qualität zu finden, deshalb war mir eine zuverlässige Signalübertragung besonders wichtig. Das Kabel macht schon beim Auspacken einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck: 24K-vergoldete Metallstecker sorgen für eine sichere Verbindung, und der Kabelmantel ist robust, aber trotzdem flexibel genug zum Verlegen. In der Praxis liefert es kristallklaren Sound ohne Aussetzer oder Rauschen – genau so, wie es sein soll. Die Passgenauigkeit der Stecker ist top, nichts wackelt oder sitzt zu locker. Mit 2 m Länge ist es ideal, um Geräte ohne Zugspannung zu verbinden. Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: Farbmarkierungen an den Steckern könnten die Unterscheidung zwischen Toslink- und Mini-Toslink-Seite noch leichter machen. Seit ich dieses Kabel nutze, genieße ich deutlich besseren, störungsfreien Klang bei Musik und Filmen. Fazit: Ideal für Hi-Fi- und Heimkino-Nutzer

Comprados para Chromecast Audio ya que el original sale casi 20 euros, me ha sorprendido la calidad del cable, se puede notar la buena construcción del mismo y su funcionamiento perfecto.

Connecteur S/PDIF quasi impossible à connecter (diamètre trop gros). Au moment où je l'ai enlevé, le connecteur s'est démonté et le câble n'est plus utilisable.
