Was hoping to use this in my TP5, but there is no means for the battery to lock in. Update: I have since procured a UV-5G Pro, and the battery fits perfectly in it. Updated review to 5 stars.

Works well when traveling

The radio lasts a long time on receive with a full charge on this battery.

Fits older UV5 handy talkies,but not newer TP5 ht's.

After owning the Beofeng radio for quite a while I decided that with the next camping trip I would buy a bigger battery so I could use it longer. Not only did I use this for the rest of the camping trip ( 5 days) I used it for an additional 3 before I decided that I would throw it on the charger. I did not look at the battery life after the 5 days but with fair use for at least 4 hours a day I would assume that it would be around 3/4ths gone. I would recommend this to anyone that has a beofeng radio, not only because it works excepsionally well but because it makes the radio feel a lot better in the hand, To hold the radio with the stock battery my hand was half off the bottom, but with the extra couple inches on the bottom its a lot more comfertable to hold. This is not a paid review, This is my honest opinion about the product through my own testing and research. Excellent battery for the price, can't be beat! These Baofeng radio's and accessories are rare among Electronics from China, they AREN'T Unreliable JUNK that will barely last a year! Contrary to the confusing product description, this battery PERFECTLY FITS the New 2020-21 Baofeng BF-F8HP, as well as it's predecessor, the UV-5R. Locking is tight, just as the lower mAH one that comes with the radio's. I think I'll order another for emergencies.

This battery fits my Baofeng UV-5R+PLUS radio perfectly! Now I am enjoying multiple hours more air time than with the original, smaller battery!

I have both a UV-5R and a UV-5x3, and the battery fits both just fine with no excessive pressure needed to mate it. The battery's capacity is nothing short of amazing; it powered my radio in sporadic daily use, mostly on high power for solid signal into the repeater, for nearly a week during Hurricane Florence. I'll be ordering a second one for my other radio. Baofeng / BTECH web sites will tell you that this battery must be charged through the side connector. As far as I can tell, this is completely erroneous information. It has contacts for the charging cradle, fits the cradle perfectly even with the radio attached, and seems to have no problem reaching full charge that way.

Menos mal que la compré, porque el cargador original lo perdí y la batería esta se carga por usb, que me vino genial en el apagón ya que era la única radio que tenía.
