Does the Time Lapse well
We purchased for a multi-million dollar plant update. This camera has long-term capabilities with the 16 AA battery bank. I have tested for several weeks and the video is adequate. The camera creates the AVI files no larger than 500Mb and you can set the lapse intervals. Not the high quality video as our GoPro but better for the long-term shots.

Doesn't work, but you won't know until it's too late
We purchased this product to provide a time lapse of the construction project. We tested it and everything seemed great. The user interface is crazy obtuse, but we learned it and set it up on a pole to shoot photos every five minutes for the life of the project. When we took the camera down to replace the batteries and tried to pull the images off, only the first set of images was readable. The rest were corrupt files on the SD card. We contacted support and they were of no help in retrieving our images or insuring that it wouldn't happen going forward. So we paid $600 for some low quality photos of the very beginning of our construction project and that's it. For a camera that has one job, be a set it and forget it camera for months, THIS IS AN EPIC FAIL. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FOR ANY REASON. What a complete and total waste of money. Setting money on fire is a better use of your money than buying this.

So Far, Very Happy
I'll update when I've played more, but so far, I'm pretty impressed. The instructions could be a bit easier, but if your buying this camera, I suspect your a but tech savvy and should be able to figure it out. What I've learned from reading review and my 3 day experience. 1. READ and FOLLOW this instruction. Format your SD Card, and install the firmware update which is easily found on Brinnos web page. 2 . About the SD Card: As I read from another reviewer, the Brinno description is very misleading. Yes you get an SD card, but its 8gb. Enough to learn and play with, but not enough for a big project. For $600.00, I would have liked to see a 128gb card included. I was aware of this ahead of time from a review, so I bought one at the time of purchase. If I'm buying a $600 camera, $25 more isn't going to break the bank. 3. Buying an SD card for your camera: Not all SD cards are created equal. I found this out the hard way in my GoPro Days. Do yourself a huge favor, visit Brinno's web page and buy a recommended SD card. This will likely solve any corrupt file issues. 4. I haven't used the waterproof enclosure yet, but it looks pretty sturdy. I'm happy to see they included moisture absorbing pads in the kit. Nice touch. 5. Clamp mount: I just starting playing with this, but its a beast. Much heavier than I expected it to be. It looks like it will, but I hope it holds out in the weather. 6. Making a finished product: Understand that you will have to get your own video editor software to stich the files together. Not to worry, there are plenty of free versions online. I researched, downloaded and stitched my first set of files together in under an hour.

Rock solid on two long projects so far
****bought this in 2020. I believe it’s critical to do the firmware update when you receive it or it may not work right. I recall that it took a few attempts to get the update to work so follow instructions carefully. Following that, I bought a 128gig mini SD and mounted the cam inside the enclosure up in a tree for two constriction projects. The first build lasted almost a year. Every two weeks or so I’d climb a ladder and pull out the SD card, get the footage, and replace the batteries. I think the batteries and SD would have gone quite a bit longer but I didn’t want to lose any days. Today I finished the footage on the second build. Both times the cam worked flawlessly. Crisp time lapse footage!

Brinno BCC2000 Construction & Outdoor Security Time Lapse Camera Trio Bundle — Review
I used the Brinno BCC2000 trio bundle for an outdoor, long-term time-lapse application. The bundle includes the camera, the protective housing, and the mounting bracket. While the camera itself offers acceptable functionality, the failure of the included housing is a significant and costly flaw. What Worked • Camera Performance: The cameras function as advertised, producing usable time-lapse footage and offering straightforward setup. • Ease of Use: Configuration and operation are intuitive, even for extended projects. • Bundle Concept: The trio pack is appealing as a complete package. Major Issues • Included Housing Is Not Weatherproof: Despite being marketed as weatherproof, the included housing leaked under normal outdoor conditions. • Component Damage: Water intrusion damaged the extended battery tray, rendering it unusable. • System-Level Failure: Because the housing is part of the bundled system, this is not an accessory issue — it is a core product failure for outdoor use. Bottom Line The Brinno BCC2000 cameras provide acceptable time-lapse functionality, but the included “weatherproof” housing does not perform as claimed. When a bundled enclosure fails and causes internal damage, it undermines confidence in the entire system. Recommendation: Suitable only for sheltered or controlled environments unless additional, truly weather-rated protection is used. For a product marketed toward construction and outdoor security applications, the housing should be significantly more robust.

I wanted to post this because I noticed some people having issues.
i wanted to post this because I’ve noticed some people having issues. I bought this camera for personal use. I’m not real tech savvy but was able to figure it out. I do photography on the side as a hobby and wanted to capture seasonal changes on my property. I wanted to find something I could leave for long periods of time but couldn’t find anything that could do that. So far I have been pleased with the battery life. I did have one hiccup, I had filmed some stuff around the house to test the camera out and had some issues with corrupt files. I wasn’t sure what that meant so I called my son who works on computers. He told me to contact the manufacturer, which I did, and they were able to walk me through an update for the software. The camera has worked out well for me so far and I will continue to use it.

I have had a outdoor building project which I wanted to film over several months - and found the camera to work extremely well. The weather has been abysmal over the winter, but the waterproof case, which I bought with the camera, has kept it bone dry and the lithium battery life has been exceptional. One final point: I lost the rubber lens cap but couldn't find one online, so got in touch with support who were happy to send me two spares all the way from China at no cost. Good service indeed!

I recently purchased this product to document an interior remodeling project. The extender kit has been really handy and the camera connects directly to my laptop so I can check the battery life and adjust the settings remotely. While checking out other reviews, I noticed some concerns regarding video quality. Personally, I find the image quality more than satisfactory, particularly when considering the competitive price point.
