Great hammer, perfect for electrical work!
I really love this hammer, it's simple and straight forward, no bells and whistles, not gimmicks, just a solid hammer to knock about the job site or garage. The head being slightly narrow really helps when working in tight spaces and allows solid strikes without worrying about hitting other electrical components. Carpenters hammers tend to have larger, broader faces which are perfect for nailing and framing, but for electrical, they can be a bit wieldy and cumbersome. I found this narrow with the slightly longer neck to be very beneficial and easily able to work around junction boxes, studs and placing Romex staples. The fiberglass handles also offers a bit more protection against electrocution as it's non-conductive.The 18 ounce is a reasonably heavy hammer, strong enough for most jobs and I'm very happy to have it.The bright orange also makes it easier to find in the shop/job site.Great product from Klein, as always!'If it's Klein, it's mine!'

My son is an electrician and absolutely loves this hammer. He told me that the other guys on his crew liked it so much that they each ordered one for themselves.

It's a Klein, need I say more
I own all kinds of hammers for all kinds of jobs, each one has a special use. I came across this hammer while working on a job with another contractor. He brings out his Klein and at first it just looks like a regular hammer; man was I wrong. The neck on the head is much longer than other hammers, this is so you can drive nails into junction, light or outlet boxes without smacking the handle. The claws are almost flat so you can get into tighter spots, but it does limit the pull width in some locations. At the end of each claw is a small V-notch used to pull staples or small nails without trying to pull them with the traditional nail groove. This is an 18oz hammer so it doesn't take much effort to set nails. With the long light contoured resin handle, all the weight is at the head where it needs to be. The handle also has rubber grips which keep your hands from slipping and they also absorb some of the shock when you really start slamming those nails in. The best part is, when I was looking online for this hammer most of the prices were $70-$85, on Amazon, $25, I couldn't pass it up. And yes, you can use this for non-electrical work but remember, the head is smaller than a framer or regular claw hammer so you will need to have a good aim.

Klein quality
What can I say—they’re Klein. Well made, balanced, and able to drive a nail in tight places using the side of the head. The staple puller notches on the claws are very handy when rerouting electrical wire.
