Dome Glass Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Google Pixel 6 Pro

I am writing this review on my phone using the newly fitted screen protector.tl;dr This screen protector will take much longer to install and will most likely involve watching an instructional video on YouTube. The end result is worth it in every way. Perfect fit, no bubbles AND works perfectly with Pixel 6 fingerprint sensor.Fitting this screen is not simple, if you have not done one of these before you will want to watch the instructional video on YouTube. In a nutshell this screen uses a liquid adhesive that is cured after fitting with a UV light (included).First up you must cover all buttons / gaps with provided stickers (this stops the adhesive getting into them), then you clean up the screen before popping it into the jig.The jig supports the phone on all sides and had a few extra bits to cover the speaker and to support the adhesive.Once the adhesive is applied to the phone you rest the protector onto the jig at an angle, the provided clip will hold it at the correct angle.Here is where the beauty of a liquid adhesive pays off... removing the clip and letting the screen protector go flat onto the phone will spread the adhesive. It will stay viscous (watery) for quite some time so there is plenty of time to roll out any bubbles although the liquid adhesive does an amazing job of spreading as it is.Finally you use the included UV light to cure the adhesive.Be careful after you cure it, it still needs some time to fully set.After some time (15-30 mins) remove the phone from thd jig, wipe it down, remove the stickers, wipe some more... curse at the funny smelling oily adhesive liquid, wipe some more... wipe some more and finally it should stop feeling oily 😂After this you will have a perfectly aligned, bubble free screen protector.And yes ths Pixel 6 Pros screen fingerprint reader works perfectly! I tried several before (from top brands) and it was all pretty bad, this is rhw first that has lived up to expectations.Also the jig setup really makes it almost impossible to get anything other than perfect alignment.Thia is truly a marvel of engineering, it's not simple (compared to the cheap alternatives) but the results speak for itself. It's absolutely worth the time and money investment.

At first I thought these screen covers were a godsend. I had damaged the naked screen of my phone with a caustic chemical that left permanent pits in the Gorilla Glass on my Pixel 6 Pro. This screen cover completely covered those pits and restored my phone to what looked like a brand new screen! Five Stars for sure! It was worth the ridiculously high price and the crazy installation process (which for me went without a hitch for some reason). I was very happy.Then I dropped the phone. It was only a few feet, but the edge hit something and caused a small crack in the edge of the glass despite my phone case. I thought "no problem, Whitestone promised me a lifetime warranty for replacement screens; it must be why they charge so much for their product". WRONG! Yes they will replace the screen for "free", but there is a $14.99 shipping and handling charge. I discovered that after the ridiculously painful product registration and warranty claim process. This is robbery as it does not cost that much to send something as light as a feather. The charge should be less than $5 for their handling.If the charge was reasonable, I would have happily sent them the money to get a new screen. That is not happening, I'll move on to a company that actually stands behind their product's warranty. I do not recommend giving this company any money.UPDATE 1: I originally gave this 2 stars, but had to reduce it to 1 star. I tried to remove the cracked screen protector using the card provided and it would only remove about 1/4 of the top and bottom before shattering the screen into a million shards. After that, I couldn't get the rest of it off and it destroyed the chintzy provided removal card. I tried to use some plastic scrapers I had which didn't work, so I worked up to a thin metal scraper from my toolbox and had to use all my might to remove the rest - it was stuck to my phone like concrete or epoxy! What a mess. Then I cleaned up the phone and tried to install the second cover provided. That did not go well. There are now three huge bubbles under the screen and my phone looks horrible. Again, I do not recommend this product as now I have to scrape this one off and get something from a reputable company that stands behind their product. I have had it with Whitestone.UPDATE 2: I bought a new screen cover, so I had to remove the second Whitestone screen in Update 1 that had huge bubbles to install it. Again I ran into the same problem as the first one - the damned screen won't come off. This time I used a hair dryer set to super hot and heated up the cover until I couldn't touch it. No dice. I again had to use the metal scraper and it almost needed a chisel (see photo). This time I gouged a pit in my screen and I am sickened that I paid money for these miserable covers that have caused me hours of aggravation. Horrible, horrible, horrible. These deserve zero stars, but alas one is as low as Amazon goes.

This kit comes with a device that is used to install the screen protector. The device (mostly plastic) requires some assembly, but the process was fairly simple. Make sure to seal off the holes and buttons on your phone using the provided tape (glue is provided and required for installation).Once installed, the screen protector fit perfectly straight without any bubbles. The kit also came with an additional protector for the rear cameras, which you instead install by hand. The rear camera protector doesn't seem as durable as the main protector, but I installed it anyway.After several weeks of carrying my phone in my pocket alongside a glass+plastic vial (e-juice container), I see no scratches nor other blemishes.Screen responsiveness and the fingerprint scanner work great indoors. The fingerprint scanner usually doesn't work outdoors, but I've read that this issue is caused by the Pixel 6 Pro itself rather than the screen protector. Despite the issue with the scanner, I can still use my phone screen perfectly fine when unlocking the phone by drawing a pattern.In conclusion, this is the best screen protector that I've ever owned. The fitment is great, it seems well resistant to scratches, and my phone's screen shows no reduction in responsiveness.BONUS INFO: This screen protector fits perfectly fine even when paired with an Otterbox Defender Pixel 6 Pro case.
