the threads may have been cut a little deep to seal for some pipe fittings. I used it to mount a filter inside of a toolbox and run the piping in and out of box. one of them screwed all the way down and leaked. Yes i used thread tape

I used this for a diesel tank project. The quality is excellent and the threads are smooth and strong. Comes with two flat rubber washers.

Beware! The inner female thread is British Standard Pipe. Not NPT. Also. This is too light to be brass. It’s some plated Chinesium metal. Should be zero star rated.
