So Much Information and Great Detail
I learned so much from this one book on the biological reasons why someone is more likely to be obese, and how different diets affect the body. I highly recommend reading this book if you want to learn more details about the science of obesity and how your body works.

Great explanations, very funny and easy to read
This is a great read that demystifies all the fad diets by explaining exactly what happens to food in our bodies and how our bodies store and use the macronutrients. It’s really interesting and it’s written in a manner that enables anyone who has a bit of understanding of the human body (i.e. we’ve all done biology at school, right?) to get it. It’s also very funny in parts. I have recommended this book to a lot of my friends and colleagues at work and I know that this is one of the very rare books that I will keep and read again in a few months’ time to refresh my knowledge. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to truly understand about how our bodies process food and then make up their mind about what’s best for them.

Expertly explained science.
This definitely became one of my favorite health/ nutrition books and I would strongly recommend it! It was a refreshing to read a book where the author didn't try to "sell" a lifestyle or a fad and did it in a raconteur manner. We are so often bombarded by information from blogs, influences, etc about what we should or shouldn't put in our body, Dr. Yeo expertly (with a Ph.D from Cambridge) cut through the noise. He did an excellent job in explaining the biology behind obesity and try to remove the stigma behind obesity. He also use scientific evidence to debunk some of the popular dietary fads. Although I agree with most of his points, my only criticism is that I found his criticism of the diet fads (i.e. plant based, ketogenic diets, etc.) a little to harsh. Although some of the diet fads are on the more extreme ends and aren't the cure-all diets that they claim to be, I think that he skipped over the fact that there are tenets in these diets that might be beneficial.

Read this!!!
Interesting information well presented. Yep is not here to make people feel bad about their mismanagement of their weight and health. Just wants us all to understand what the science really says, or doesn’t say, about various methods of weight loss. Apparently, most diets, that you have to pay to participate in, are bunk. Some are okay, like the fabled Mediterranean and the DASH diet. Moderation is key.
