Transfered photos from Google Pixel 7 Pro to computer
The cable worked well and enabled me to transfer photos from my Pixel pro 7 to my computer but not in the way described online. Because of this, when I first tried to use the cable, I thought it was faulty but there is nothing wrong with the cable. It is the online instructions that are wrong. What you need to do to successfully use the cable to transfer photos from a Pixel 7 pro is this - 1) Plug the USB C connector into your phone and the USB connector into your computer. File Explorer opens up. You can see the Pixel 7 Pro on your screen but can't access its contents. 2) On your phone select 'Settings' and choose 'Connected Devices'. 3) You will now see it says 'USB charging this device' 4) Tap 'USB' and a new screen opens. 5) To enable photo sharing - Tap and put a dot in 'File transfer/Android Auto' 6) On your computer File Explorer now shows the 'Internal Shared storage' on your Pixel 7 pro. 7) Click on 'Internal Shared storage' and a series of folders can be accessed. 8) Click the folder labelled DCIM and a folder called 'Camera' appears. This folder holds all the photos taken by the phones camera and also any edited camera photos. Click on the 'Camera' folder to access the photos. Be prepared to be patient and wait for them all to be downloaded before attempting to copy them. 9) On the Pixel 7 Pro there is also a folder labelled 'Pictures'. The 'Pictures' folder contains all the folders you can see stored in your Pixel 7 pro's Library. Clicking on 'Pictures enables you to access and copy photos that have been sent via WhatsApp, Text and Messenger, plus saved screenshots and any photos you have saved in named folders. There is, however, no way to access your photo albums. In conclusion, you can use the cable for charging and to transfer files. It isn't fast but it does the job and works well.
