Whitmor Swing Arm Slack Hanger, Chrome

Repeat buyer of these as we have very limited closet space. I had bought 2 of these for myself several years ago and bought two more recently for my spouse. We share about 7 feet of closet hanging space in a very old house so it’s tight. Off season clothes go in a chest of drawers and we have very minimal wardrobes. It’s nice to hang our jeans and slacks on these hangers. Sturdy and easy to use.

I purchased this for $7.78 and received it 2 days later with free Prime shipping. It arrived carefully packaged and in pristine condition. I own a few other organizational items by Whitmor and have been happy with them but wanted to try this hanger out before investing in more. Now that it's here, I'm definitely going to be buying at least 4 more! The quality is awesome! It's what I would consider to be "heavy duty." I hung up 5 of my favorite jeans on it without incident (I utilized the bottom non-swing bar for the 5th pair). Although multiple jeans create a good deal of weight, the hanger didn't bend or buckle. I was actually more concerned about the closet rod, LOL. Ok... So, I'm not a big person but I believe that this hanger could easily accommodate much larger, and subsequently heavier jeans, no problem. This hanger is very functional. It's easy to use and doesn't require delicate handling. The swing bars open and close easily, so yes, I believe that it's practical for everyday use (as opposed to a complicated contraption that's only useful for storing seasonal items). It doesn't look like it's going to break from frequent use or with time. However, I will certainly update this review if I leant any different. NOTE: The swing bars don't open very wide, about 3 inches out before they begin to demonstrate resistance. I found this to be ample space to insert the garments so it wasn't an issue for me but it may be a factor to others. On to its appearance. This may not be a major consideration for most people but it's important to me. I recently have been on a mission to make my closet look nicer. This includes getting it super organized, incorporating IPOW chrome closet organizers, and replacing my rat-tat collection clothes hangers with high-quality heavy gauge stainless steel chrome hangers by ZICOME and Sorplus. This hanger blends in beautifully with the rest of the closet. Buying new or unfamiliar items online can be risky. I believe that this hanger is well worth the cost and that it would be difficult to find equitable quality for this price in a local retail or department store. As a result, I highly recommend it!

Good quality for whatever you use it for. I am not using it for a pant hanger. I found a fun idea on how to use this to organize wrapping ribbons. I had all kinds of ribbon rolls thrown in a drawer and was ready to get it organized so I could easily find which ribbon I needed without spending a lot of time rummaging through all the rolls. Just slide the rolls onto each hanger rod, Several rolls will fit on each rod. Then, hang in a closet or on nail on a wall. No more buying ribbon I already have. By the way, I do have one I use for a pant hanger and it is a real space saver. Also, the rods clip into place so they do not swing out after you have placed a pair of pants on them.

I was a little hesitant to pay so much for one hanger, but it works great. I have five pairs of jeans hanging in the closet, not taking up space in my chest of drawers. They are sturdy and hold the clothes fine. I've had no issues with snagging, as another reviewer posted, but I've also used them only for jeans or khakis and I've not managed to snag any thing on myself. I liked the product enough that I ordered another two. It's just possible I also need to look at throwing out clothes. But until then, this seems to be working for keeping things organized and potentially helping me get rid of the hated chest of drawers.

If you are looking for a storage solution for off season pants or men's jeans in the closet, this is your answer. Finding sturdy, well made and affordable is rare these days, but these products are all of that and they look good. I was worried about the swing parts being able to handle my husbands heavy jeans and his impatience, but both passed his test. easy to unlatch(its a sturdy metal loop and the bar just lifts out of the loop) and it holds up the weight perfectly. I was afraid that the vinyl would be too difficult to slide the garment off easily, but it works just great. I recommend.

I like it but bought because see description said made in the USA. It is made in China according to the packaging.

I bought two of these for my scarves. I have a large number of beautiful scarves but when it comes to wearing them it's a hassle to go through all of them to find the right one. This seemed to be a perfect solution. I just hang my scarves by color on each of the "hangers"...one row forward and one row back (so I can see them better, and hang them in my closet! I've started using it for my belts as well! Great solution...strong...and reasonably priced for a fix to my problem.

I have three of these in my closet -- one for slacks/longer skirts and the other two for hanging scarves/hijabs! This does SUCH a great job of holding everything, allowing me to see all the colors and different options I have at once, and allows for easy storage. I've been so happy with it that I just keep repurchasing as the need comes. It's sturdy, doesn't take up too much space, and is great!
