Installed this unit to pump on road diesel, worked ok after install. Advertised as a 20gpm pump, but only clocked 10gpm sticking to the 3/4" outlet thread and using a 3/4" filter(rated for 18gpm) and 23' of hose. I did use a 1" auto nozzle, but regret not stepping up to 1" filter and hose, I'll assume it's my fault the pump only performs at 50% advertised capacity and would do better with less outlet restrictions. That's not the real problem however, the major issue is that the pump worked for less than 200 gallons after install (already had 52 gallons on meter from factory). Unit stopped pumping, would only hum. Checked for good voltage to pump, and removed pump plate to make sure it spun freely, both good. Filled out a complaint form on fill rites website and submitted it several weeks ago, no response. After waiting a couple weeks, decided to look into it further myself, opened the motor and found the hot wire had recklessly been installed to rub against a disk on the rotor, which took 242.7 gallons of pumping to rub/arc through(arc burns cleared visable on disk). This was sitting over 1000 gallons of diesel! The pump is supposed to be UL rated for pumping gasoline... what if?! Took pictures to document, submitted a 1 star review for craftsmanship, if company stands behind their lifetime warranty claims and makes it right I'll revise my review, until then, unless you're a glutton for disappointment and danger, don't waste your money and safety on this unit.
