STAUBCast Iron Animal Stainless Steel Knob, Rooster

This works great with my Le Creuset Dutch oven and is super cute! Nice quality item too. A fun splurge.

This exceeded my expectations. Unlike the other French company who also makes very similar high end cookware, and whose knobs I ordered and received, Staub’s knobs actually have some heft to it, feels weighty and like quality. I will definitely be ordering another animal knob. Definitely elevates the look!

Got the snail knob for my cocotte and loved it so much that I got the rooster for my bread oven and the log knob for my Dutch oven. These are very good quality. Easy grip and installation couldn’t be easier.

Does anyone need a rooster to replace the handle on your Dutch oven or pot No! So if you want somethingwhimsical , well-made and goes with Staub pots they make a nice selection. But I caution you to look carefully because a few look like a piece of melted metal but most are quite nice and the rooster is one of them.

First, let's agree: No one NEEDS this knob.With that out of the way, the rest is very easy:It looks great.It has the perfect size and shape to handle the HUGE lid of my dutch oven.(The clearance is large enough, so I can grip the knob without burning my knuckles. I have a rooster and the snail, I would be concerned about gripping the pig securely when everything is hot and I'm in a rush.)It makes me smile every time that I look at it.It makes my dutch oven look 2x as good.I am very happy with my purchase.I would recommend it to anyone with a dutch oven. (If not for practical - then for "therapeutic reasons")I would buy it again.

Ample size to manage the very heavy and hot lid. Still use cooking gloves, but it offers a better grip and is more attractive.

Added to a small staub dutch over. Easy to grip. Stays a little cooler than the brass knob that it came with so it doesn’t eliminate the need for an oven mitt/pot holder when on the stove top for an extended period. I like to cook and spend a lot of time in the kitchen ... this is just a “little happy”.

The chicken knob made an excellent addition to our 20cm Staub dutch oven. It looks and feels exactly like we expected. Since the bolt was included, I was able to install it shortly after it arrived. (Yes, you will need a Phillips screwdriver.) We are totally happy with it, and already ordered another animal knob for our other Staub.
