Really pleased to have found a budget carpet shampoo machine - it was easy to assemble and use although my carpet hasn't been washed and the common use areas frankly filthy!! It did not do as well on a couple of heavily stained areas as I had hoped which I ended up hand scrubbing, but once the worst of the stains were removed, the machine did a good job. Loved the long cable which enabled me to plug it into the hallway socket outside the living room. The machine is relatively light, easy to push/pull back and forth over the carpet but does take a little practice as I found it to be slow going to get the water/shampoo on in one sweep back then pushing it forward to clean/dry on heavily stained areas. The light traffic areas were a breeze but the 250ml shampoo included was swifly used so I had to order more and wait for it to arrive before I could finish cleaning my carpet. A couple of minor points for improvement, firstly, the clean water unit really needs to have a small handle integrated on the front as is difficult to hold and take/on/off the machine, especially if like me you have arthritus. Secondly, not sure if it is just my machine, but I do not need to use the 'release' pedal to lower the main body, it does not appear to 'lock' into place for it to be released - but will happily stand upright so haven't bothered to return it for a replacement. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a budget machine with a relatively small carpet area - mine covers 10ft by 12ft and with furniture around the sides only 3/4 of that is visible so ideal for me and a good budget option.

I've gone through a lot of similar cleaners over the years having a large outdoors type family + 9 grandkids who all keep animals, dogs, rabbits, sheep, horses etc and pop in regularly + my own 3 dogs, so a lot of the outdoors comes indoors here, and the very best I could say about any of my past machines is they made a slight difference, the one I paid the most for, over £300 was the worst, very heavy and the spot cleaner had NO suction ....THIS on the other hand is BRILLIANT...I've gone all o.c.d with it...the living room which I did only last week with my old one came up a treat with this, even though it's an18 or old carpet ....I did the stairs and landing next they haven't had much attention thanks to disappointing attachments...they look lovely now ....being so pleased with the spot cleaner on the stairs I thought I'd see how it would cope with car seats and carpets , well I'm quite ashamed of how much dirt came from our car....but it is now a sight to behold...I had a little shampoo left in the tank when I'd finished so used it on a rug in the dining room , i hadn't thought that was too bad but the colours are certainly brighter now .....it's really easy to use too and there are no filters that keep clogging up, the dirt goes straight in the tank , brushes agitate the carpet fibres to release more dirt instead of just rolling and sucking .....but my favourite is the spot cleaner, wow does that shift some grime......I must admit I did use a stiff brush to help loosen horrid stuff worn into the car carpets but they're so clean now they'll never get in that state again, I am so impressed with this machine it has to be a 5 star review........would I reccomend....well....DERRR !!!! ......I'm starting on the bedrooms next..🙄...😂🤣😂...defo ..o.c.d.

I previous owned a well know brand, of carpet cleaner but after reading lots of reviews I decided to go for the Swan cleaner. And I am so glad I did, this is honestly brilliant, super easy to set up, easy to use light weight, and easy to clean. The suction and cleaning power is excellent. It also has a great attachment for cleaning stairs, sofas etc which gives super results. When I had another brand, you could never take the suction part of were all the dirt accumulated from the carpets but with this it just comes off, allowing you to easily clean it. Plus the brush that glides over the carpet also removes easily for cleaning. The tank itself is smaller than most big brand cleaners, but to me that is no problem. After all you are getting something that cleans to perfection, and I highly reccomend it. The cleaning solution is perfect to giving lovely fresh smell, with super results. So anyone wanting good priced carpet cleaner I highly reccomend the swan pro carpet cleaner.
