I had no idea how much disgusting stuff was lurking in my carpets being ignored by my ancient Monster of a vacuum. My friend & I were chatting one night, she recommended this Shark as she had an earlier model & loved it. I ordered it right then, and eagerly expected its arrival 2 days later. Got my tracking notification and discovered I'd actually ordered 2! Whoops, might've been the vodka... Anyhoo, it's a Mighty Mouse! Half the weight of the old Monster, 5x as effective, easy dirtcup emptying, and so low profile that I really don't need to use the flex feature, but it's cool too! Took a minute to get used to it being top-heavy (as opposed to the motor weight being on the floor with the Monster) but no biggie. Easy to switch between hard surfaces & carpet settings, 3 power levels, and excellent battery life. Having 2 batteries is a bonus, and the charging station is cool. The batteries charge quickly too. Told my friend I loved it, admitted I drunkenly ordered 2 & had to return the extra, but she volunteered to take it off my hands so now we both have brand new Mighty Mouses!

For starters I LOVE this vacuum. I have owned it for nearly a year now before writing this review. I use it every day as I have a Great Dane with thyroid problems who sheds fur like it’s her job, and a toddler who is a crumbs on the couch queen. It is easy to clean and works very well! However, there is definitely an issue with the hinge system. About a month ago one of the plastic pieces inside the hinge caught and snapped while unlocking the vacuum for use. Would it be covered under warranty? Probably considering it was in no way an issue of user error, it’s absolutely defective. However, the warranty system of having to return the entire wand myself, have shark deem it defective and then send me a new wand would put me without a vacuum for wayyyy too long. I could just order a new wand for $50 (yes they have replacements!) but they’ve been out of stock since it has broken (hmmm, wonder why?). So it’s a bit of an annoyance. With care I can still unhinge the wand and use the vacuum with no issue, but it definitely does not function as intended and sticks/catches without the plastic ring that broke inside the hinge. If I were to buy another shark vacuum, it wouldn’t be the one with the hinging wand.

I have a powered Shark and I love it. This cordless model is ok. I don’t get the hype with these cordless vacuums… It does pick up ok on the Med speed but I find it misses some stuff that my powered Shark would not. I find I have to use the high power to get it to pick it up (and that drains the battery VERY fast). I don’t like the feel off the vacuum. It doesn’t run smoothly (I suspect it’s the fins underneath causing this). I have to make sure to vacuum in certain directions to get the vacuum to work best. Also after vacuuming my carpet, it just doesn’t look vacuumed. I am used to seeing vacuum lines in my carpet and there is none. Those lines imo meant the suction was good. I NEVER see vacuum lines after using this cordless vacuum. It does pick up stuff because I do have to empty the bin- but I just don’t think these cordless vacuums do as good a job as a plug in vacuum. It’s a shame as I like the portability, the lightness and compactness of the vacuum. I think it would work better on tile/wood floors. Now let’s talk about the battery charge… a HUGE selling point for me was the addition of a second battery and the ability to remove it to charge. I would NEVER recommend anyone not having a second battery when purchasing ANY cordless vacuum. The battery runs out pretty quick esp if you use the highest power setting. That setting really should only be used once in a while as it drains the battery VERY quickly. I use the med setting only (low setting is a waste of time imo) and occasionally the high. I use a battery and a 1/2 for about 1200 Sq foot. If I only had 1 battery I would have to wait 2-3 hours for it to recharge to finish my home. The things I like about this vacuum was the attachments, extra battery, method of charging and how compact it is. I also like that I can vacuum under my couch because of how compact it is. This vacuum can also be used as a hand held- because of the attachments it can be used to vacuum ur car (if you live where there is no power outlet access, like and apartment, this will be great). The thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t stand up on its own when the battery is on which can be annoying. I kept the vacuum but will still hang on to my powered vacuum. I was really hoping to replace my larger plug in vacuum with this. Just one more thing to take up space…. It’s Nov 2025- this product is now almost 3 years old and is no longer holding a charge for long. I would think the battery would last longer than 3 years esp if a replacement battery is $92 for one and I need 2. I have a shark powered vacuum and it’s been going for way over 10 years- still strong. I understand batteries die over time but to only last 2 years 11 month is a not acceptable for an expensive vaccumm. Cordless vacuums are all the rage but I’m better off sticking to a power vacuum. I can’t imagine spending over $200 for a battery.

Had to replace an older DuoClean and landed on this one. I like the rubber fin on the second roller, vs a brush so that hair doesn’t get wrapped around it. It came with 2 batteries, each lasting about 60 minutes, so it’s nice to have a back up ready if you are doing a larger area or using higher power settings. Getting used to the bend feature on the handle. Makes it seem a little flimsy, but it is nice to get under lower furniture. Not a huge fan of the main handle, it’s bigger and longer than my older model. With the crevice attachment on it’s about 3 feet long, and almost awkward to handle. Easy to empty the trash, and everything clicks and in clicks smoothly. Wheels on the head are really smooth and roll easy. Has good power and suction so far. Has carpet and hard floor modes, and high, medium and low power settings. Like that the display gives you a battery percentage.

Very good vaccum. If you’re not used to a smart vacuum, some thing can throw you off. It is very strong so it you cannot use it on any flimsy throw rug. You cannot push items out of the way with vacuum, example; toys, it will just go over it and suck it up, very strong suction. I have a a bad back and it seems lightweight to me. Battery goes fast on super high mode but that isn’t even needed for regular daily use. Also mine has two batteries so I don’t worry about that.
