FINAL UPDATE: I contacted Yaber about the item that I received that wasn't packaged correctly and was missing parts. They responded quickly and made it right. The packaging issues were most likely an Amazon issue and not anything to do with Yaber. Excellent customer service. And, as luck would have it, a car door was left ajar for a couple of days and the battery went dead. I used this jump starter again and it started the car without incident. If you have the money and you live in an auto-centric area like I do, you should really get one of these things. You can use it to start your car or you can use it as an emergency charger for your personal electronics in the event of a power outage. As I have said before, it's very likely that you will need to use this for yourself of someone else in the future. UPDATE: I bought another one of these to keep in our second car. Since the product was such a success previously, I decided that there wasn't any reason to look for a different vendor. I'm somewhat disappointed in the product I received today. It came in a plain Amazon box and was a bag that contained the battery and the clamp cables. No other box. No instructions. No USB charging cable. If I were giving this as a gift - which I have considered - I would be really disappointed. I'm hoping that the unit I received works correctly and isn't a refurbished return, but it could certainly be given the packaging. A good Samaritan helped us out at the airport with a portable battery starter and I decided that it would be a good thing to have around. I had an appointment in the afternoon and made sure that this unit was charged and ready to use. Sure enough, I got in the van and the battery didn't have enough charge to start it. I hooked up the YABER unit and started the car right away. This one lives in our other car and is permanently plugged into a switched 12v outlet so that it will stay charged all the time.
