My grandma insisted on goat skin gloves for her gardening to protect her hands and arms from thorns. She was thrilled to receive these and said they work great!

These gloves actually seem great, but gonna be returning 'em cause they are too long for my arm. They're great for a use for a few min, but imagine doing work w/ em for hours, it will badly chafe the underside of elbow. Might work for you, I'd compare long cuff measurement with your forearm measurement to make sure there's at least 1/2 inch clearance between your inner elbow and end of glove. For reference, I bought Large, and my forearm from wrist to inner elbow is 8 inches.
