Upgraded WDR Rear Camera for G840S/T10/T10 Plus/D07, 1080P Waterproof AHD Car Rear View Camera

Really good quality and customer service. I have been using the dashcam in 50C heat in Dubai and it is still perfectly fine.. Night vision is great and very sharp image quality. Waiting for the new model to upgrade.

Purchased this camera because Wolfbox 840s didn't meet expectations at all & its rear view camera unlike car's factory built camera (which is blurr now) had very narrow area of view (unless you are on highway) and you won't see an approaching car when reversing from parking. I ordered this camera thinking it will meet its claim of 170 degree wide view but no change even of a fraction. Support responds in a day but clearly they're not reading very clearly written emails. If customer is mentioning rear view mirror model then response like "if your camera has 4k" or "click on panorama view". Knowing that 840s provide 4k (only front) and has no panorama view shows support isn't reading email properly.

Replace my older reversing camera (cloudy picture)..for this updated/ upgraded version...works perfectly!...also the picture is so much clearer and more viewing angle...very happy!

It has great clarity during the day. You can see the license plate of the car behind you. Night time vision is excellent. I can see more detail in the camera at night than in the mirrors. The clarity does suffer a bit though. Can’t see license plates at night with car headlights. Recommend mounting higher on the vehicle out of other cars headlight beam so they don’t completely blind the camera. I do really like this camera and wolfbox mirror. Unfortunately this camera stopped working after 11 months. When the dashcam turns on, this rear camera works for a few minutes, then the image freezes. After rebooting the dashcam, it displays a black image. Sometimes I get the “ no rear camera connected” message on the dashcam. Eventually didn’t work at all. I reached out to the manufacturer directly via their website. They replaced it under warranty with no hassle. The product is great and customer service excellent too.

I admit, I was skeptical, and I was pretty happy overall with the camera bundled with my G840S. I wasn't sure what, exactly, I'd be getting for the forty bucks. I'm so glad I spent them. Seriously. First, this camera has dramatically improved glare reduction over the stock camera. At night, headlights resolve more neatly, instead of becoming pools of smeary, indistinct white light. I had no problem knowing there was a car behind me with the stock camera, but the combination of better glare mitigation and much faster white balance correction as lighting changes meant that the video capture produced useful images with less of a recalibration delay, at night. If I ever need a clear image from a half-second flyby behind me on the recorder log, this camera is much more likely to deliver it than the stock one, for that reason alone. Again, the stock camera wasn't "bad," really -- just average. This one's much, much nicer. It offers a wider field of vision, too -- and yes, that means a little fisheye effect at the extreme edges. That would be annoying, if not that this is a backup camera, and that translates to even better peripheral vision coverage. I've caught people in the parking lot waiting behind and to the side of my car that I couldn't see with the stock camera -- well out of my way, yes, so they weren't safety hazards, but being able to see them at all is a testament to the improved field of vision the upgraded camera offers. White balance and dynamic range are nicer, too, but I really only notice the difference at night. The stock camera was more than adequate during the day, and while this one's a step up, you really feel the difference more at night than in the day. Installation was a snap, as it uses the same connector as the stock camera. Unplug old, plug in new -- I believe it even mounted to the original mounting bracket, identically. If you're basically content but not thoroughly delighted with the stock G840S camera's quality, yes, definitely, buy this one. You'll be glad you did, and I'm pretty confident you'll find it a significant step up from the stock camera. It elevated the quality of my G840S to the next level, and I'm very, very happy with it.
