I honestly didn’t expect to like this as much as I do. I’ve been using the Detox Organics Chocolate Superfood Powder every morning for a few weeks now, and it’s become one of my favorite parts of the day. The chocolate flavor is surprisingly good - not too sweet, just rich and smooth. I mix it with almond milk or in a smoothie, and it blends perfectly with no clumps. I’ve noticed I feel less bloated, have more steady energy, and my digestion has definitely improved. It also helps with cravings - I don’t reach for sugary snacks as much anymore. I really like knowing I’m getting all those greens and nutrients in one scoop. It’s a great, healthy boost that actually tastes good. I’ll definitely be ordering another container soon!

I’ve been taking this daily since 2018, so I can chime in on a few things, historically. The original formulation when I first got it smelled and tasted like grass, to the point that one of my coworkers started whinnying like a horse as a joke. I know that it’s been a constant tinkering to improve the taste, and I think they’ve got it now. The taste is not rough at all, but don’t expect high end protein shake flavor. I take this every single morning, like a morning coffee, along with my Biohm mixes. It will usually get me going to the bathroom within an hour and also help me feel more leveled out. Not a dramatic effect, but I definitely notice when I don’t take it or if I don’t have it when traveling. Overall, I’ve taken it routinely without much thought. I can’t speak for the anti-bloating benefits since I have more gut than almost all the models they have demonstrating the anti-bloating benefits. However, it seems that as time has gone on, the serving size has changed, and the product has become more heavy with fillers and mystique. It used to come in a miniature canister with a big scoop, then they switched to bags, then to tall canisters, but with a much smaller scoop. It seems I go through it a lot faster and the price has gone up. The powder has also changed. Before, it wouldn’t mix very well, and would often times be chunky and even have grass flakes in it. It mixes pretty easily now, but it seems more fluffy (as another reviewer pointed out) and filled. The market is super saturated with a lot of similar products, so your results might be similar with athletic greens or another product with a similar formula, but there’s differences. Overall, it seems the big key is as long as you are getting these nutrients in some way, shape or form, you’re going to see some benefits. Most of them, including DO, will not have the ingredients listed by amount, only in proprietary blend. I will probably continue taking it every morning, unless I find something better. I don’t like the direction it seems they’re going, but that’s just my opinion. I’m not an influencer. It’s been cool to see them grow and thrive, but it seems they’re more interested in getting new customers than listening to ones that have been there since the early days. But such is the way things go in business a lot of the time.

Enjoyable protein drink to start my day

I had some higher expectations for the product at first and I have a few comments that I would like to share. First off, the taste isn't bad at all. I like to mix it with almond milk or my morning coffee. The almond milk makes it taste like a shake or chocolate milk and the coffee makes it taste like a mocha. Health wise I feel a bit less bloated and over all i feel better, however I was expecting a bit more. I would also like to mention that this stuff is MESSY! It is hard to mix with out shaking the mixing container. If you want to mix it with a spoon in a cup, good luck! You'll need a cup with a lid that you can shake. Also, if you spill a little (wet or dry) it will turn into concrete and its hard to clean up. For this reason the bag that it comes in needs to be changed. Some sort of plastic container with a lid would be ideal.

I'll be straight to the point with my review, this is all based on my last three weeks of drinking Detox Organics daily (minus a day or two when I missed it). My results might be consequential or completely unrelated to the drink but seems to be working well for me. Pros: I almost immediately noticed a slightly increased amount of energy throughout the day and a more even disbursement of that energy. I have been sleeping a little better at night (perhaps due to the evened out energy levels?). I've oddly had a much lower craving for sweets (which I typically struggle with). Insolubility is pretty decent, not hard to mix into my smoothy in the morning Taste is okay (probably a 6/10) when added to almond milk with strawberries, blueberries, and a banana. Ingredients are all good and explicitly stated on the label, no garbage here. My appetite has decreased since beginning this powder every day. Cons: Let's be real here, anyone who says this powder "tastes good" out of the jar and into water is either a bold faced liar, genuinely enjoys the taste of chocolate covered spinach (which is my closest approximation of the taste), or is so jaded by powders that taste like chalk that this is a welcomed change. It's really expensive. It's not a meal replacement, nor does it pretend to be (definitely won't fill you up), so you are looking at more or less a $2 a day vitamin boost. Conclusion: I will continue drinking it daily for at least another couple months as I've noticed on the days I don't have it, I feel more sluggish. I would recommend this to anyone who suffers from a low energy level or general grogginess throughout the day. Obviously to each their own but I'm happy with the results so far and am hoping to have continued success.
