I needed a new hat for working out in the yard, and this one has been very good for protecting me from the sun. The construction of the hat is very good. The rear flap does an excellent job of shading the head and neck, and the vent mesh on the sides come in handy. I've rinsed the hat when I'm done working and the front bill has kept its' shape after each rinse. My only "complaint" is that it only comes in one size. It fits me, but it is a tight fit. Not a major issue if you do not have a large head. Overall, a great buy for the money. I'd strongly recommend the hat and would buy it again.

If you garden or work outside the house, a must wear.

I wore this hat on my 4-month camping trip around the country. Nice and wide rim to give broad shadow over my face, and the back flap thing really protected my neck. I don't really like hats, but when I simply couldn't get out of the sun, I was impressed with how much coverage it gave me. I don't usually like hats because I find my head heats up, but this was nice and cool. I also liked the adjustable cord to tighten it up when I was on a ferry with high wind around me. Highly recommended I must say. It's washable, too. Got mine really filthy, as you can see from the photo. Wash it by hand and place it on a bunched up towel to let it air dry so it keeps its shape, which is what I did while on the road.

Bought for husband and decided it’s mine now. Keeps the sun off my face, isn’t tight or heavy and keeps the sun off the back of my neck. When I tried it on, as a joke, my kids told me to take it off right away because …”it doesn’t look very good on you mom”, I looked in the mirror and determined this hat isn’t made for looks, it’s made for a job! It does the job too!!! I wore on on the beach, in a pool, on a hike and was so surprised to not get hit headed. It’s lightweight, comfortable and it’s also what we call “mine”

I've bought the #tan one, which is the tan one with the built in flap. I think it's got some grass stains on it somehow and some fuel shot out the line trimmers exhaust leaving a black stain. It seems pretty good otherwise. I've got a 23" head depending how much hair I have and it fits almost snug... I guess it is adjustable now that I see that in the pictures... I'm not sure I ever noticed on mine or ever adjusted it. The flap is kinda thin and blows in the wind. Not sure how I should feel about that.
