Gorgeous doll, and so glad that there are different ethnicities available now. Very cheap, which does show a little bit in the quality of the clothing. I’ve marked it down as the hair came completely messed up, and it looked very little like the picture (the hair was the main reason I chose this particular doll, so it was disappointing). But I won’t mark it down too much, as in the hands of a toddler it would have ended up a bit messed up in 2 minutes :)

I adore this doll it’s just different in all the best ways. It’s good for children to see people can look different to societal expectations. More importantly my niece was really happy and that’s all that matters.

This beauty makes me think of the awesome residents of the Solomon Islands, and so I named her Salome. I love her dark complexion and blonde hair. She had her body replaced with a matching Made To Move version, so now she has full articulation instead of the standard Fashionista five point articulation. Her outfit is sweet, but sadly not divided in two.

Additional info added: She beautiful, but this doll isn’t representative of the picture. Her hair is very thin and uneven. Her scalp black, which doesn’t match the standard system for rooting a doll’s hair. The scalp and hair usually matches, so I’ve purchased another one to compare, but I will keep her regardless because I love her and believe that she deserves to be fixed and treasured. I got the Mattel help number and will find out the perfect hair match and purchased it and fill it the gaps. I’m also going to reboot her to make her made to move and I removed the painted baby hair already, I’m going to purchase some couture fashions and high heels made for more feet style. They have them on other sites, that sell products for these flat feet dolls. I don’t think this doll came from Amazon’s fulfillment, because even with her tab in place her was far from Mattel’s standard. But, my motto is beautiful things have imperfections seen and unseen they exist. We don’t throw something away, because it isn’t perfect we pour into it. That, said if you order make sure to examine her thoroughly for defects and flaws for your comfort level as the buyer. Overall, I’m happy for the challenge, when the other doll arrives I will upload her image as well, then potential buyers can compare, the two different purchases and make a informed decision. *** Additional pictures: the 2nd doll hair was much thicker and even, but the scalp is still painted black.
