Very heavy and packed to the brim with all sorts of RPGS, from well known to obscure!
Great gift for any game or jrpg enjoyer, filled to the brim with extensive details regarding games produced by franchises all the way back to the early days of the nes system! If you've ever wondered if there's other games like Persona or Final Fantasy this is the book for you! A very tasteful archive with extensive information and graphics that'll help anyone choose their next game. Very hefty book.

If you enjoy JRPGs, this book is amazing. The histories are well written, the pictures are beautiful. I can tell there was a lot of care put into this book. Thank you.

Fantastic Book
Extremely comprehensive, with great pages and colors and summaries of each game or series. I'm an avid JRPG fan and have been since the ff7 days on ps1. This is an amazing guide, though I have heard a few games here and there might be left out but nothing major and overall covers as much as it can. I have a feeling this will come out with an updated version in the near future and i will be buying it. A must get!

Fantastic Book
Like the title and rating suggest, I thoroughly enjoyed this book on all levels. Judging from other reviews, some people have had issues with the shipping process, but I did not, as the book arrived in amazing condition. Long story short, if JRPGs are your thing, this book is worth the price.

Very great condition, really brand new although I wish they also include the black protective board they include from the Bitmap Books website. But overall it's good and they did answer my inquiries when I messaged their FB page for some questions. :)

Typical high quality from Bitmap
I love Bitmap Books very much, and this is another very solid entry to their library. I've been a JRPG fan since Dragon Warrior on the NES, and going through this book was a journey back to the familiar and the unfamiliar. Its quality is high as you'd expect from Bitmap, and I really like the way the book was organized. Certain sections are by developer, others are by franchise, and then it moves into the more sub-genre-specific titles. I also have to mention the book's cover. It's absolutely beautiful. My one complaint about this book is that I didn't quite enjoy the writing as much in this one as I did in other books from this publisher. While I feel they did a great job of summarizing the games' stories and mechanics, I found that too much of writing was similarly critical of the games. It feels like the majority of the write ups have a level of cynicism to them that was a bit off-putting. It's not a major complaint...everyone is entitled to their opinions. It just seemed to me that it was a common theme of this book, and it was a bit of a bummer.I still recommend this book to all JRPG fans. It's a beautiful record of this amazing genre.
