This by far is the best dog leash I’ve ever owned. I’ve had it for a few months and it still works perfectly. It really does retract 26 feet. It’s so smooth when you retract it from any length. You won’t go wrong purchasing this dog leash!!!

Great heavy duty leash. 26 ft is more than anybody would ever need. It feels great in your hand and feels nice strong and durable. It retracts and works really well and definitely strong enough for a 90 lb dog

I wanted a black Retractable Dog Leash to replace the turquoise one that I've had for a while (that I still really like), but wanted one that's a few feet longer. While I like the durability of it and how comfortable it feels in my hand, I have yet to master the locking feature with just my thumb and one hand. What continues to happen is that I allow it to get stretched out a good distance, but when I lock it and try to easily unlock it with just my thumb, I can't, so the leash is left loose on the ground until I use both hands to get it unlocked to retract it. It scares my dog and causes me a bit of a panic in situations that need immediacy. I've not returned it yet, but I am considering an exchange for something different.

Perfect dog walking unit. It is on the heavier side, however the quality is amazing and it retracts with ease.

LOVE super lightweight sturdy love the button, swapped out another model for this one actually because it has a slide lock not a button, I guess I’m old school, but my dog responds to the click and I really like the lead that actually guides him from getting off course, I know the intention is not to bite it he doesn’t bite but my goodness for my 65lb husky WOOf

I have a 24-pound mix who is 11 years old. Today the leash stopped retracting. It didn't even last 9 months. It was great when it worked, but now it's an accident waiting to happen.

I bought two because I have two dogs and it is almost always 1000% easier to manage them when the mechanical leashes are identical. I like these, they have range! Hound dog can go way down there into the edge of the bushes or out in the rain from the overhead and I don’t have to. I love it!

There are two reasons for the 1-star rating. First, the leash won't retract after the second short walk with my 70lb Lab. Second, the description says it's heavy duty but my initial impression is that didn't feel "heavy duty". I don't think a retractable leash has to be heavy but this is very light compared to what it's replacing. I also don't like how they designed the brake button. It's awkward to use. It is much smaller than it's replacement and the unlock motion is not very smooth. This results in leaving a lot of slack while my dog is moving and it has extra leash to retract once it finally unlocks. This didn't cause a problem in the few times I used the lock, but it could have easily wound around my dog's legs. I unfortunately cannot just return it since it is defective. Amazon only provides the option of replacing it. I'll leave another review if I have a better experience. BTW Amazon, I shouldn't be forced to either except a replacement or just eat the cost of a defective product. That's a terrible policy! Maybe I will just buy my next retractable leash from a brick and mortar store where I would receive better customer service.

Item states heavy duty leash my puppy is 10kg an rarely pulls but I used this lead less than a week an it has partly ripped which means it's now not fit for purpose waste of money
