I want to give an assessment of this product, but also compare the Keystone to the Codesteel. As advertised, this product is very well made and does the job. The product is easy to use and the letters are easy to read. For the price of $50 , it is a bargain compared to the original product that inspired this, the CryptoSteel (not to be confused with the Codesteel) - the CryptoSteel being $180 is just another level.. and NOT worth it when Keystone and Codesteel exist for a fraction of the price and almost identical functionality. What I like about the Keystone over the Codesteel: 1. the letters on the Keystone are slightly BIGGER. 2. the 4 letters fit tighter than the Codesteel... this is a big deal for me. Codesteel has 2mm wiggle room that makes me nervous a letter might fly out given how thin they are. 3. the screw driver on Keystone has bigger handle, easier to use. What I like about the Codesteel over the Keystone: 1. It does not have LOGOS over the product.. it is plain and cleaner looking. 2. It is substantially cheaper than Keystone at $35 vs $50 when they are basically identical. The Codesteel's "wiggle room" of the letters makes me nervous... but its enough for me to choose Keystone.

First time using a seed phrase storage device and this does the job well. Self explanatory to use but instructions provided. Good solid material, all the letters stay in well, feel better now my seed phrase is off paper and in a secure device. Recommend if you're looking for a good seed phrase storage device.

I'll open up by saying, absolutely DO splurge extra money for the PLUS version. It's feels more durable than the standard version, and has large number of screws safely securing letters in place within thick steel plates. The standard version should be avoided. It's flimsier and cover plates are poorly attached, which could lead to letters shifting and falling out, resulting in catastrophic failure of the seed backup. The Plus version is very solid, clean and easy to use. I feel confident it will withstand majority of typical natural disasters. Security stickers and lock option are just an icing on the cake. Comparing to other options on the market, the price for the value is very solid. Keep in mind, while this should work well, under extreme force, the screws could potentially give out, resulting in letters dislodging from their nests. That is the ultimate weakness of this sort of backup method. If that is a concern to you, consider options with stamping/etching as they are even most resistant to damage.

It's big and easy to handle the letters. 12 screws each side though. Wife has a smaller one. 4 screws each side. The smaller one was a pain! Took probably twice as long to do her's because the tiles are so small, trying to get them in the right spot was more difficult. I think this size is great. Ease of use is great. Just be careful of the tiny screws. Pro tip: when installing the screws, use your fingertip to turn the screw until it grabs then use the screwdriver. Putting the screw on the screwdriver tends to make the screw wobble and fall out. Use a finger to make a half turn or 2 and it threads in just fine with the screwdriver after that.

Really high-quality metal. I didn't expect it to be so heavy, but in a good way, it feels sturdy; it could easily survive any natural disaster.

Der Artikel wirkt qualitativ hochwertig. Buchstaben sind ausreichend vorhanden. Die Buchstaben lösen sich mühelos aus der Halteplatte und passen perfekt in die dafür vorgesehenen Mulden. Meiner Meinung nach eine klare Empfehlung!

Muy contento con la placa, nose de que material es pero se ve muy resistente y robusta. Sin duda volveria a comprar otra para guardar mi frase. Para los que dudan ; con las primeras 4 letras es suficiente.

La seed phrase è in sostanza una password di 12 o 24 parole in un vocabolario di 2048 termini che viene generata casualmente all'inizio della configurazione di un portafoglio di criptomonete. Serve a recuperare il suo contenuto in caso di smarrimento e/o di furto. Di solito i produttori (come ledger, ellipad, ngrave etc) mettono nella confezione due o tre foglietti di carta dove annotare la sequenza ordinata delle parole. Spesso la seed phrase viene conservata per anni in un luogo sicuro. Ma la carta, si sa, non è il supporto più sicuro dove conservare una cosa essenziale coma la seed phrase. Non lo è neppure il cloud, in quanto una violazione dello stesso metterebbe in pericolo tutti i vostri averi. A questi problemi ha pensato Keystone che ha costruito una sontuosa tessera metallica per il recupero di portafogli sino ad una sequenza di 24 parole. In ogni singolo slot metallico sono inseribili le prime 4 lettere di ogni parola e ciò perché in un contesto di 2048 parole bastano le prime 4 lettere per individuare specificamente ognuna di esse. Per inserire le singole lettere si smonta una maschera forata che copre gli slot numerati. All'uopo viene fornito un piccolo cacciavite presente nella confezione. La tessera è inoltre dotata di un foro dove apporre un lucchetto. Il diametro del foro consente di inserire lucchetti molto grandi. Il peso della tessera è consistente e dà una sensazione di estrema solidità. Anche in caso di incendio e/o alluvioni si ha la certezza che il supporto non verrebbe distrutto. Consigliata per chi vuole stare sereno nel recuperare la propria seed phrase.
