Walker 36522 Exhaust Clamp for Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Perfect fit for GM exhaust. Like kind quality of OEM.

If you live in a place where they spread that green de-icing crap all over the roads in the winter, you might have replaced this part once already. The clamp itself does not corrode as it is made of quality stainless, but unfortunately the bolt, and the barrel shaped "nuts" are made of "fuse-together-after-about-5-yearsium". All the junk on the New England roads in the winter time I'm sure is the culprit. The loss of material due to corrosion caused the clamp to loosen ever so slightly and the exhaust to rattle due to the vibration. The bolt becomes completely non-removable as it literally becomes one with both ends, fused together for all eternity. The solution is to carefully dremel off the old clamp on each side, pop on a new one and be good for another 5 years or so. I have replaced this on my Tahoe twice. Was happy to see the part still available here after so many years.

Clamp works just like factory but doesn’t have the factory tab so you can actually remove it. I’ve bought 2 so far and the quality is great

This exhaust clamp fit perfectly on a 2011 Chevy silverado stock exhaust. Make sure you turn the fitting so that the bolt is accessible.

Mainly my fault on the bolt. But the bolt isn’t super durable, so don’t try to get every bit of torque out of an impact to go into the bolt. It absolutely will snap. But this is a perfectly fine replacement clamp, if you’re installing a cat back or replacing any exhaust components, this is worth a look.

I had this silly, stupid clamp rust out and loosen up on my 2016 Suburban (yes my $45,000 Suburban blew an exhaust leak so I'm super stoked about that - but I digress). I wanted to replace it with OEM quality because I plan to have this truck for awhile, so I bought an OEM General Motors genuine part. Unfortunately shipping was delayed and I was desperate to get my truck back together. I cross referenced the part to this Walker part and since it was available as a Prime item for almost half the price, I gave it a shot. Funnily enough, both parts arrived on the same day. Upon close inspection I found that this Walker clamp is THE EXACT SAME THING as the genuine GM piece. Same manufacturer, same part number, same build quality, same materials. They were literally stamped with the same numbers and information. The only difference was that the GM part had the retainer tab on the top which you really don't need, and in fact NOT using it makes re-installation easier. I used the Walker part and it installed beautifully and did the job. I'm returning the GM part and getting my $30 back. Go for this one, it's the best solution to a stupid, STUPID engineering choice (and failure) by GM.

Fit as well as the original cllamp but this one is stainless steel so should last longer. Price was cheaper than OEM as well.
