There is no alcohol and aftertaste is not bad. I like because 1 Liter than most. Other helps with dry mouth. It suppose also help cure bleeding gums.

Adding Listerine to my oral care routine years ago was a good decision. I was tired of my dentist's discussions about flossing & gum care, so after a regular cleaning, I bought an electric toothbrush and I started flossing daily and using zlisterine as well as the upgraded toothbrush. Fortunately, I had no cavities before this, and I still don't. I FEEL better using Listerine, and I have confidence in it helping my breath and oral hygiene throughout the day. My breath is fresher when I wake up, too.

Not being a dentist I'm not sure what I can really add here. It is a good sized bottle so works for the family and we all like it - I think it is what one would expect from a mouthwash. I factor the price into my reviews as I expect a more expensive product to perform better and/or have a longer life span than a less expensive product. I do a lot of my shopping online and I rely heavily on other customers reviews (both positive and negative) when making my purchasing decisions so my review is a true representation of my opinion.

Since my last dental visit revealed I have large pockets in my gums for some of my teeth, my dentist recommended this mouth wash because it is antiseptic and helps to reduce plaque and tar. I was told to use this mouth wash twice a day for at least 30 seconds each time. Really, slushing this stuff in your mouth for 30 seconds is a good test of pain tolerance. For it to be more effective, you should not rinse it out of your mouth. So, the tingling lasts for a bit. I use this mouth wash after brushing my teeth so I don't have to rinse afterward. If it's painful, it has to be good, right? At any rate, having used this mouthwash twice a day for over a month, I seem to be having less problems with my gums and teeth when chewing, and the gum swelling after a tooth extraction is gone. Even though the discomfort caused by using this mouthwash isn't my idea of a really good time, required deep cleaning of gums, gingivitis, and gum disease aren't much fun either. My choice is to use this mouthwash to avoid and prevent problems that are much less fun to resolve. UPDATE 12/14/24: Since my dentist had recommended using Listerine, I have been using it religiously, twice a day, for about 2 months. At my most recent dentist appointment, the dentist told me that it looked like I had a yeast infection on the roof of my mouth. I told her I had been using Listerine as directed, and she told me to stop using it as some people have a reaction to it. I guess I am one of those people. Now I have a prescription for Nystatin that I have to gargle and swallow for at least 10 days and have another dental appointment for a recheck. Just a word of warning that not all people should use Listerine. I hope this review was helpful for you.
