15 Years & Still Going Strong!
Bought this in 2012! I love This Air purifier! Let me tell you why, This is my second purchase of this item & my first one which I still have & Still works which is beyond unbelievable in this day and age. I smoke inside my home and most of the time when I have guest over who don't smoke I ask can you smell smoke 9/10 say No. Next I am that person that has to have back ground fan noise to sleep this works perfect. It has traveled from SC to the USVI & now with me in NY. Truthfully the only reason I am buying another is I am afraid it might quit soon it has been 15 years in operation and I can't sleep without it. When I remember I try to give it a rest but over all it runs 24/7. You won't be sorry. Also to Manufacture get price down on replacement filters it is way over priced!!

Its ok
It works to filter the air but there are a few issues. The fan is noisy, even on the lowest power its still louder than I would like. I measured it and at lowest power its 53 decibels and at highest its 70 decibels. In addition to the fan noise it also makes this weird sound, kind of like crickets. I don't know if that is normal or if mine has that issue. It also gives off this smoky smell when running, probably because its filtering through charcoal. Obviously its very expensive as well.

We own it and love it
It really cleans our air. Someone said our house smells great despite there being animals and kids and a smoker who live in the home.

Not really, and here is why.
I have one of these units. As an engineer and air quality professional, let me explain why I actually dislike these. 1) Most of the noise is actually the air resistance from the side intake holes causing wind friction. 2) The intakes are too close to the exhaust, a high portion of the exhausted air is taken back into the purifier again. 3) The power use of his unit can run quite substantial - 50watts on lowest, and as high as 100watts on high (depending). 4) UV bulb is visible from the outside, potentially exhibiting external UV damage to eyes. 5) Carbon Filter doesn't likely last as long as they state, but is depending on the location. 6-12 months might be a more realistic prediction. They are EXPENSIVE to replace, and heavy to dispose of. 6) Bottom screws are self taping flat heads. They should be philips at the very least. 7) Pre-filter removal for cleaning/replacement requires the whole unit to be disassembled. 8) Filter changes are not for the physically impaired, in the slightest way. It's heavy and cumbersome. 9) TiO2 coating on some of their filters isn't a good idea. Photo catalyst isn't generally considered a good idea in 2025. TiO2 dust and offgas is considered toxic. 10) Rated CADR is with the unit on high. Nobody will run this unit on high. 11) The unit is LOUD, even on low, it's quite loud! 12) Vinegar smells. You'll smell it eventually with this. Either immediately, or later. For specialized applications, such as in hazardous air situations when working with plastics/chemicals/smoke, it might be a good choice. But I would actually use a MERV13 CR box, and vent the exhaust outside before I'd use this. If external ventilation isn't possible, and hazardous removal is needed, this might work. For homes you are better off with a PC-Fan based HEPA like a AirFanta, and adding carbon air freshener pouches inside of it. Or even a Nukit Tempest or other Corsi-Rosenthal box, and adding those carbon pouches inside. It's going to move a lot more air, use much less power, and barely be audible. IF you need heavy carbon lifting, this might work ok, but I'd actually lean toward an Allerair, which is better designed than this in my opinion, or an Austin Air.

Not my best decision
It's just OK. I have a problem with 4th hand smoke from the upstairs neighbor and I've figured out a better way to mitigate the smell using a window exhaust fan.

Amazing
I don't own this personally, but I was doing work at a customer's house and they were actively smoking a cigarette about 5ft away from this thing and I couldn't even tell anyone had ever smoked in the house. I took a picture of it to look up later. Wish it wasn't out of budget right now!

Great air purifier
We love this air purifier! It is sleek looking. It really moves the air well on max power. Even on low setting it is strong. For everyday use at home it is quiet enough not to be intrusive sounding. We don’t smoke but got it in case of burnt smells or fire outside. It’s wheels make it just glide wherever you want it. Quality made product.
