Livity Yoga Mandala Natural Cork Yoga Mat, Non Slip Yoga Mat

I splurged a bit on this Mat during Prime Day when there was a sale. I have owned and used many yoga mats and it is by far the best one I have ever had. The cork holds up well in hot yoga classes and never gets slippery. The thickness is strong for other kinds of strength workouts if I add weights. And I LOVE the patterns and lines which are not just beautiful but functional and help me to understand and see my own alignment on the Mat. The lines on the mat help me to do my own adjustments on hand and feet positioning to be sure I am evenly weighting my body.

This was amazing for hot yoga! The more wet your mat gets the more grip you have so if you do not sweat much then you may need to mist it with a little water to get it going. The moisture in the air will take over after that. So much better than fiddling with a towel on top of a plastic mat. There is not harsh smell, I was able to use it right out of thr box. Highly recommend.

It is still light enough to bring with you.. I just use it in my energy room. Provides cushion but stability for yoga.. I would also love it in my kitchen:) worth the money!

This Mandala Cork Yoga Mat is my introduction to the Livity brand. I'm impressed with this yoga mat. It is made of recycled natural cork and rubber. The big selling point for me is that it is non-toxic and odorless and contains no PVC, TPE, PER, glues, chemicals or any other plastics. It's also biodegradable. Although Livity boast that this yoga mat is made using sustainable farming practices, it is made in Taiwan. I do prefer to prioritize supporting brands who choose to manufacture domestically or in Europe (a region with one of the most stringent worker, product, and environmental safety standards). I take several hot yoga and Pilates mat classes a week and really like this yoga mat for both applications. It offers really nice cushion and grip, even when sweaty from hot yoga. I feel comfortable and secure in my movements with this mat. The cork is naturally antimicrobial, making this yoga mat ideal for hot yoga. It is easy to wipe down the cork side of the mat once I'm home from the studio with Livity's recommended soap and warm water, allowing it to air dry flat. This yoga mat has a beautiful mandala design that sets it apart from any ordinary mat. It's generously sized and the alignment guides help with achieving proper posture in my practice. Because this yoga mat is so sturdy and well made, there is the trade off that it is heavy. I don't mind lugging it to the yoga and Pilates studios, but something I thought I should note. Also, on the Livity website they say that this mat comes with an eco-cotton carry strap - the Amazon listing makes no mention of it and mine didn't come with one. I'm really happy with this Mandala Cork Yoga Mat from Livity and expect it to hold up well for a long time.

This product cork mat is inferior and should be avoided. It's not cheap either, and the product can not be returned. The mat is so rough that it takes your skin off your toes. When the mat is cleaned, the ink comes off the mat and is on your feet and knees, including the cleaning towel. The rubber pad holds water and then it takes days to dry out. The mat moves when doing Down Dog and other yoga poses, it does not have a good hand grip like other cork mats. The mat smelled of chemicals and I never could remove the smell even after weeks of using it. I have never seen this bad of a cork mat. It was my second cork mat, and I am very dissatisfied.

I’ve never had a yoga mat quite like this. I got it because everyone talked about the sustainability of cork and I didn’t like the pattern. But I was not prepared for how heavy this is. So this will be my at home yoga mat. I can’t travel to and from the studio with this. Other than that I love it!

This is the first time I've seen a cork yoga mat, and it's a brilliant idea. The main advantage of cork is that it doesn't turn into a slip-and-slide when your palms get sweaty the way conventional yoga mats do. It also has a cool, distinctive look. People who see this mat wants to know more about it. The one downside is the weight. This has a lot more heft (about 7lbs) than my trusty Manduka Pro Mat (about 4.5lbs), and the Manduka mat is 2" wider. So if you're looking for something lightweight enough to carry comfortably to the yoga studio, it might not be for you. Otherwise, though, this is an excellent mat. If you're looking for the mat with the best grip, then look no further.
