Good looking, beautiful addition to my office. The side bars bend in a bit when I flip it over, but nothing that bothers me too much or affects permanent look of the piece. I am happy with my purchase!!

What I dislike about this hourglass is not a deal but I time the hourglass from start to finish of sinking sand in 63 minutes not 60 . At first when I first got it the some of the sand stuck to the glass and then I took care of the problem with sticking sand on the glass .FLY By shaking the sand all over the hourglass to coding the glass so the sand won't stick as much when you use this hourglass over and over overtime the sand won't stick to the glassWhat l like about this hourglass is I always wanted one, it's well made

I love this hourglass and the gold sand. The wood base looks great in an office and is a nice conversation piece. It is also useful if you do want a visual depiction of the passage of time.

I’d call the sand in mine a “watermelon” red. Nuts on each end of the 4 rods are adjustable to correct any “wobble”. I’ve wanted an hourglass ever since seeing “the wizard of Oz” many, many years ago. Will likely rarely use but still a darn cool gadget to have on the shelf.
