Abnormal Psychology: An Integrative Approach (MindTap Course List)

First physical text I bought in two semesters and what a difference it made. Great choice over e text books.

It’s great and is perfect for class

excellent book

The book is a very comprehensible treatment of a complex subject. Chapters have several "Concept Checks", multiple choice quizzes which help the student master the most important concepts.

The writers of this textbook do a good job of making subject matter interesting. I know we have no choice about what books professors select for their courses. This book, however, provides real life insight into the course material and is easy to understand. I encourage professors to investigate it for their own classes. Also $100-$150 cheaper to rent through Amazon than my school affiliated textbook brokers and bookstore.

I have not yet read the whole book, but I am well into it and it is written in a very good language, it has little exercises along the way, a good clearly glossary. Good illustrations and case study examples. It is after all the 8th edition. So, it is both popular and has gone through a fair amount of revisions. I highly recommend it. I am just disappointed with the condition of the book. While it was new and wrapped in plastic it had been dropped and the corner is dirty and bend!

Prescribed uni textbook at a good price

The book is well- written, quite comprehensive and a nice read. It's my course text book so I'm happy I got it. But the pages are extremely thin and get easily crumpled even with careful use. In all honesty, it's already a heavy bulky book so I guess they did that on purpose. I recommend getting the soft cover, the hard cover is really bulky and heavy.

Excellent in holistic approach towards topics from history research and updates as well as real life examples.

This is a comprehensive and well organised text. It covers the subject of abnormal psychology by linking meanings and definitions to the DSM-5.

Good for both undergraduate & graduate students of Psychology.
