Perfect Red Dot for My Glock 47
I recently mounted the Holosun HE509T on my Glock 47, and I couldn’t be happier with the setup. The installation was straightforward, and it fit perfectly without any issues. The red dot is bright, clear, and easy to acquire quickly, which makes target transitions smooth and fast. I’ve used it for both range sessions and dry-fire practice, and it’s incredibly reliable. The sight holds zero perfectly, even after repeated shooting, and the battery life is impressive. I also appreciate the rugged build—it feels solid and durable, exactly what I want on a handgun. If you’re looking for a dependable, high-quality red dot for your Glock, the Holosun HE509T is an excellent choice. It’s made my shooting more precise and enjoyable.

Great MOS
I have been using this for a while now and love it. I like the green over the red and they say it’s better for older eyes and those who have an astigmatism. Still have the original battery in going strong. I like the choices for auto brightness or setting what you want. I also like the choices of dot, circle, or circle and crosshair. I took a two day class and feel very comfortable using this on my gun!

Rugged & versatile
This has really helped my shooting but it does have a learning curve if you’re used to fixed sights. It took a little getting used to however the twin reticle helps me with shots further down range. Have it on my Glock 40 MOS 10mm gen 4. It replaced an older, more expensive red dot. I like the green as it’s easier on the eyes (for me). Mostly I do indoor range target shooting. I have a few other Holosun sights & they’re all good but I like this one best. It’s very rugged, versatile & the enclosure is worthy also, keeps the crap out. I like that I can mount it on some of my other firearms & also can be as usable on a shotgun.

Accuracy
Solid red eye, but may negate your sights, the red eye is high if your sights are low or even medium like mine. Otherwise, perfect red eye. Holds zero, doesn't flinch if you use it as the rack slide. sight it at 15 or 20 meters, or yards, go home, sleep well. This thing self charges with sunlight, so spend time outside with your gun. Day at the range, less batteries. Clearly, bullets cost more than batteries. Adjust to your finances. If you cannot afford bullets or batteries, you are in the wrong review. But possibly have the right gun? Turn yourself in. PS. Using this with an M&P 10 MM Performance Center pistol. Cast your hate aside, this works.

Love this on my Beretta 1301 shotgun
Only time will tell how it holds up to lots of semi-auto shotgun rounds but I do like it, particularly for a shotgun due to the multiple reticle options. The open hashed circle is perfect for buckshot while the dot is perfect for slugs. It co-witnesses my ½-moon peep sight which is nice (Aridus?). Multiple setup options and I also really like that while it takes a battery it mostly relies on solar when it can. I only wish they used something more common like a 2032 battery. CR1632’s aren’t all that common. Also I have fairly bad astigmatism but this is one of the best RDS’s I’ve ever used in terms of very little flare.

Doesn't keep zero, doesn't mount
Bottom line: This site won't zero and won't mount out of the box unless it's being mounted on a non-existent slide with a native RMR slide cut, which no brand firearm that I know has. Out of the box before shooting, this site won't achieve and keep zero. The windage and elevation adjustments reverses in real time while adjusting. In other words, left is right and then right is left and the same for up and down. I can zero it and then and then tap it firmly on the top and knock it out of zero. Furthermore the base is so thick that it's questionable whether my suppressor height sights are tall enough to co-witness over the base. I have it installed on the RMR /MOS Glock adapter plate and it's the base is slightly higher than the top of my rear suppressor height sight. When I get the proper plate I'll be able to reduce the height by the MOS/RMR plate, a scant 1/10th inch, which may be barely enough to get a sight picture with my BUIS through the very bottom of the dot sight's window . In addition, this sight only comes with two screws which are too long and ran right through my MOS plate and broke it off my slide before I got the screws tightened down on the 509t's plate! So I found other screws they were too long in the wrong heads and spent a couple hours filing them down to the proper length to mount this thing. Which is when I was able to determine that it won't hold zero after mounting it and trying to zero it this morning. Beyond that, the 32 MOA circle reticle with the quadrant hash marks just creates a huge blur in the middle of screen. It's too small even without the dot in the middle on. It obscures the target. The hashes on the circle add to the blur effect. However,Unlike the 507c, the ambient light adjustment does seem to work. The 507c's automatic ambient light adjustment adjust way too dim in every light situation. Compared to the Trijicon RCR, another closed emitter sight: at twice the cost the RCR has a dot reflection on the back glass one set on brightness seven, that disrupts my presentation index. I have to set the brightness index on seven for outside which is way bright inside because the RCR has no ambient light adjustment and I'm not going to bet my life on remembering to adjust the brightness through my t-shirt blind every time I go inside or outside. It has to be a set and forget which has to be set to the brightest light situation. Then when I come inside it's too bright, which reflects on the back window and throws off my indexing. In fact It doesn't just throw my indexing off, it obliterates it . So this 509t doesn't have the back window reflection in any brightness that the RCR costing twice as much has. However, it won't zero and won't mount out of the box unless it's being mounted on a non-existent slide with a native RMR slide cut, which no brand firearm that I know has.
