Comes clean after melting soy pellets!
Comes clean after use: I've read that whatever is used for melting wax for candles is basically not usable for anything else after that. I used this double-boiler to melt soy pellets, bees wax ,and items for diy lotions, and with hot water and a good dish soap (I use DAWN) it comes clean everytime. Initially, with the soy wax, I was a little worried about it coming fully clean but I took a chance anyhow, and I found that really just wiping it out before the wax dries is helpful, and then hot water and dishsoap worked. There has been no evidence left of wax residue. The double-boiler is stainless steel so I feel it's very durable and won't just fall apart. It worked well for my melting purposes. It is a fairly good size for small batches, and comes clean. It's a simple product that I've found to be handy when I diy! All win-win for me. I'd recommend this product and buy it again when the time comes. I might go a little larger next time though. I believe this one is around 4 cups. I've only had it for a few months so not sure how it will work long-term, but since there's no coating on the finish, and it's stainless, I anticipate it will last for quite a while. Also, soy and bees wax are more natural products so maybe other waxes would have a different result.

Makes chocolate melting easier
Great quality boiler pot! Makes melting chocolate so much easier. Great price and easy to clean. Very lightweight and takes very little storage space. Worth the purchase and it'll get plenty of usage.

Pot for melting wax
The double boiler(only one pot)works great for melting wax. It’s smaller than expected and will need another pot to place in to use as a double boiler for your melting needs.

Looks Good ... Too Bad
This is the perfect size. The base is not too thick but not too thin either. It seems just right. Love the silicone on the metal handle. Unfortunately, it came with half the handle detached from base. Hopefully, I'll still be able to use it. Other than that, it looks perfect. Can't wait to use it. UPDATED REVIEW: Though this item was received with some relatively minor imperfection as noted above, I not only like this product but I like the seller, who contacted me to make the issue right. I have also submitted feedback for that at the seller level. I DO recommend this product and would buy again at different sizes.

Great for scalding breastmilk
I purchased this double boiler bowl to scald breastmilk. I have super high lipase milk and need to scald it immediately after pumping before putting it in the freezer. I’ve been struggling with glass bowls, and this has been a lifesaver. It works best in this application using a 2 quart saucepan and the glass lid. It got the milk up to the required180° temperature within minutes.

Smaller that the picture shows
Works well for small things. The picture made it look larger than it was. Was a little surprised to see how small it was need to pay attention to how many oz.

Smaller than expected. But well made.
Well made. But smaller than anticipated. It's advertised as 2-cup capacity, but I think it should say 1.5-cup. Two cups brings it right up to the edge of the pour spouts. There is no way you would fill it to the brim with chocolate or any sugary substance, because it would boil over into your water. And the risk of burns and spillage is increased. I find it cute, but then I like miniture items. But I don't think it's practical for average volume candy making projects.
