Unbelievable value
Having found these on sale I realised (after discovering DankPods and his praise for these in the reviews) that these would be a nice replacement for my singular working Sennheiser CX3.00 (left bud died after less than a year) to use at the office. For under £20 I really don't think it's possible to find sound that's even comparable to these. Plenty of clear bass; undistorted, clean mids and crisp high end make these just as good as earphones at well over triple the price. They sound as good or better than the Beyerdynamic Byrons I had before the Sennheisers, and they trample all over those Sennheisers too. The sound is less bassy and has more emphasis on super crisp highs than a lot of other lower end earphones so if all you want is bass maybe look for something else, but there really is as much bass as most regular listeners should want. These come with a detachable, replaceable cable so the dodgy wiring that killed my left CX3.00 is unlikely to ruin these in the long run, and the cable itself is somehow much, much better than the one on those Sennheisers. With those, the slightest tap on the cable from a stray finger or even just the cable rubbing on your body creates extremely irritating noises that ruin whatever you're listening to. With the KZ's you can slap the cable around all you want and your music will remain wonderful. There's even a mic on this cable (if you choose the version I did) and it's surprisingly good! There have been a couple of downsides with these earphones, since nothing can be truly perfect. Firstly, on my work PC these create a bit of hiss when playing sound, so I had to buy an attenuator for an extra £20. It's worth saying, I didn't hear any hissing noise when I tried these on my phone, so it might not even be a problem with the headphones, but it certainly did dampen my enjoyment of them when I was first using them at work. It's definitely still worth getting them with an attenuator (I got an Ifi Ear Buddy) if they hiss on your device though, since even for £40 these sound very impressive. The other downside so far has been that I very occasionally get a small electric shock from touching the metal part of the earbud. That sounds worse than it is, since the shocks I've had from the lift call button in the hospital I work at were worse, and I didn't even reflexively pull my hand away from the earphone since the shock was so small. Small problem but worth noting. Overall though, these are phenomenal earphones and it's baffling that you can get sound this good for so little money, and with features far more expensive earphones don't even have. The buds are surprisingly heavy and they feel really well built; since they're partially clear you can even see the internal components. KZ clearly weren't worried about their build quality and it's easy to see why. Just buy these unless you're going to spend upwards of £100. You'll struggle to find anything better without stretching to that price range.

Better than my £100 Sony over-ears, even giving my £400 Grados a run for their money.
My audiophile friend reccomended these earphones to me (he works as a sound engineer). I absolutely love a good pair of headphones and just needed something I could roll up and put in my pocket... These are not only amazing headphones for the price... they're just amazing headphones, full-stop. They have amazing build quality, the cable is replaceable, they look awesome and the sound quality and sound staging is remarkable (especially for the price). They're comfortable and stay in place while exercising. I can hear things with these that not even my £400 Grados are able to pick up (with a proper DAC and AMP). These absolutely blow my £40 Sony in-ears and £100 Sony over-ears out of the water. These are now my go-to headphones most of the time, even when I'm at home (when I cba to grab the Grados). I also have a set of ZS10 PROs which are remarkably better, but I am not comfortable taking them out with me (too expensive). I only have 2 very minor complaints. The cable gets tangled quite easily (more so than my Sony in ears) and there is some interference when the track goes silent (no more than usual however). I have one more major complaint which is that at high to highish volumes high notes such as vocals are affected by sibilance (hissing) which can be quite unpleasant. This is easily solved with a few tweaks to the phones base equaliser however :). I have absolutely no issue whatsoever with recommending these headphones to anyone. Even if you weren't looking for headphones and stumbled across these by accident... buy these headphones. If you are willing to spend a bit more (£50) then the ZS10 PROs offer a remarkable boost to audio quality and do not suffer the same issues with sibilance (defo worth it).

Above average for the price.
For the price you pay, these earphones are likely to out-perform your standard free earphones that you get in the box with your phone. The mid-low end frequencies are best defined however I'd describe high end frequencies to be 'hissy' at times. Their sound-stage is good but nothing to write home about so this makes symbols and whatnot sound clumped together. I have no complaints about the microphone and have an easy time using it for calls. The earphones are easy to use and don't require any additional software to work. Overall solid pair of earphones that can handle music and gaming to an extent. I got my pair for £23 so usually I'd say they're fantastic for what you pay, however I have a pair of Sennheiser CX200s which were £20 and manage the mid and high end frequencies marginally better than the KZs but the KZs excel in the bass and sound-stage. No matter which way you put it, I am being pretty critical but these are solid earphones at this price point and make an excellent product or gift for casual or beginner users to enjoy. They may not compete with £50 earphones but they absolutely hold their own in the £25 range.

Oczekiwania miałem niewysokie, a zostałem pozytywnie zaskoczony. Scena jest szeroka, instrumenty się nie gubią, grają czysto. Świetne słuchawki, jednak bardziej w v/u, nie są totalnie płaskie, ale mi to pasuje.

The metal construction is a bit harsh on my ears. They become uncomfortable after an hour or so, maybe it will get better in time. Ear tips are comfortable and seal well. Right angle plug is awkward but cable is acceptable, it doesn't pick up any sound or interference when rubbing against clothes or zippers. They seem fairly balanced to my ears, treble isn't harsh or piercing, vocals and instruments sound clear and bass is punchy and tight. I only have a few headphones or earphones to compare to but I'd say they are as good or better than any set I own under $100AUD. Overall, these are great for the price, if I didn't know the price I would have assumed they cost much more than they did.
