I love hosting Burns Supper in January, where my friends all get together to celebrate the Scottish poet. But sheep stomach is hard to get and turns my guests’ appetites off. What to do? Boiling bag! This little beauty worked perfectly, just fill the bag half full with the ground meat, roll to get a nice round shape, and then poke the bag a couple times with a fork, just like a real haggis. Boil for about 90 minutes, and Bob’s your uncle. Serve with Daddy’s Favorite Brown Sauce. Takes the yuck factor out of haggis entirely.

As soon as I placed the bag, with food in it, in the boiling water, the bag began to warp and the food stuck to the inside terribly. Do not buy these!
