Sony HT-A7000 7.1.2ch 500W Dolby Atmos Sound Bar Surround Sound Home Theater (Renewed)

Was skittish about buying a “renewed” item- particularly technology product. Thought it worth the risk for the savings. The packaging was first rate. When I opened the box I could not tell it was a repackaged/reconditioned item. Looked brand new. The hookup to my new TV (Z9J) went smoothly. It was noticeably different feel/sound than from the TV speakers (honestly the Z9J integrated speakers were pretty good- just not up to the level of the soundbar). Have’t tried blasting yet, but the sound sounds crisp (using the TV as a center speaker btw). At some point I may add the wireless rear speakers, but for my setup this may be fine. Will be putting through paces soon with movies. Our goal is to have a dedicated home theater space to use often but not as our primary viewing area. Highly recommend and don’t be afraid of the renewed store (for this type of item).

True surround sound with this! Was skeptical but love it. Def worth the money. (Subwoofer sold separately)

I purchased this unit and it was renewed or refurbished, but you would never know it because everything was brand new looking! I saved about $400 because of the unit was renewed. It sounds excellent and I have had absolutely no problems with it. If you are in the market for a soundbar I would highly recommend this one!

Very disappointed in Sony for producing this sound bar. Understand this right now, you are not going to have a movie theater (or better) experience with this sound bar. At this price, that is inexcusable, there is so much better available for lower cost too. I thought for sure, reading reviews, watching video reviews and the high cost that this sound bar would be a cut above all others. We were so excited to get it up and running and in complete dismay that our JBL 5.1 Surround sound bar at 1/3 rd the cost far exceeds the performance of the Sony. Lesson learned, if you want true theater sound you need a true external subwoofer, there is no replacement for it to be contained in a soundbar, no matter what the manufacturer says. I myself doubted that it could be done, but after all, this is a Sony and an expensive Sony at that! Take a hard pass on the Sony , we love our JBL 5.1 Surround with nice big subwoofer, not only that but the sound sparkles and reflects off the wall with some material that the sound truly sounds like its coming from the sides. It really does surround well. Your particular room will determine how well but the Sony failed big time in the same room. The JBL is also brand new, they are closing them out and the new model is the JBL Bar 500 5.1 instead of our JBL 5.1 surround which I am writing about but I am sure the new JBL must as as good as it has the same subwoofer.

Bought refurbished but functions and looks new. Very good price for like new product. I am very satisfied.

I did check many youtube videos before purchase it; definitely a good product with a lot of features. However, it really depends on your living size and shape. for example, my living room is rectangle in horizontal way, I felt like the surround sound effect wasn't really impressive enough. with so many good feedbacks/reviews, I believe it really depends on your room size and perspective.

Bought this as Amazon Renewed because it saved me some money. This thing smells like it came out of a heavy smokers house and looks like it was dropped on the front corner. I purchased this when Amazon offered a 25% off on prime day. Got it 2 days later and set it up same day. I was told my only option is to return it and re-purchase it at regular price. Got it for a good price but not sure that I’ll keep it
