It is a lactone derived from the Artemisia annua plant, also known as Qinghaosu, Sweet Annie herb, or sweet wormwood. It is made with maximum strength Artemisinin (98% purity) to ensure high potency. The Artemisia plant (sweet wormwood plant) contains only 0.3-0.5% artemisinin, which means our product provides HUNDREDS of times more of the active constituent artemisinin than the common extract that most competitor products contain. This is because there are a lot of copycats in this industry that may try to take our manufacturers or suppliers and use that knowledge for themselves. We only source the highest quality materials from around the world. Every ingredient in every product is different, so a particular product might be best be sourced from different places. For example, policosanol is widely known to be best sourced from Cuba, while Tongkat Ali is best sourced from Indonesia. We try to source each ingredient from its best place of origin so as to give you the very best and most potent product. Also, all manufacturing facilities are in the USA. We test all raw materials before they go into production, and we third party test our finished products to ensure they meet label claim and are safe. We start out with a survey for them to fill out as a part of our vetting process. In this survey, each prospective manufacturer provides information on aspects of their business. Regarding sourcing and purity of our raw ingredients, we go beyond the normal required testing. For example, the FDA at minimum, only requires one type of testing as a part of a release for products.
