I'd been on the look out for a replacement, ceramic dog food bowl, adequate of holding the meals for a 20kg dog. I've always chosen ceramic when it comes to dog bowls because they go the distance (or are manufactured to at least) and they don't age the way plastic ones can, when they go all nasty, rough and discolored on the inside, not to mention all of the chemicals plastic ones often contain. The only reason I ever end up replacing ceramic ones is because I've dropped the last one! I'm disabled so these things happen to crockery from time to time. (A ceramic butter dish should also be for life but I've had 3 of those so far this decade!) One ceramic bowl can last you, your pets lifetime, IF it has one carful owner and that's why I can't deem this expensive. How can a one off payment of £12 be expensive for your doggy's dinner service just once in his or hers lifetime? It cleans easily enough too with everything else I have to wash each day, I just save it until last then give it a final rinse under the tap and it's ready for the next day. I feed 200g of wet and 5 handfuls of mixer in each meal and the dimensions are perfect, leaving room for more if required. The depth of the side and the circumference of the bowl is just right for the dog to be able to get their mouth in there, pick up the food with ease all without making a mess for yours truly to clean up when they're done! Practicality and durability aside, appearance wise I couldn't be happier. The colors and the print are really beautiful and it's incredibly well made. The rim on mine is flawless unlike another reviewer has stated. It's worth noting if you tap off a mixing spoon on the rim of a ceramic bowl it can damage the paint job, even chip it, just saying. Damage like that doesn't happen in transit, breakages do and it it came off the production line like that then it wouldn't get through the final inspection. And one final thought on that, Amazon offer a full refund or replace option on every single item they sell through Prime so if you aren't 100% happy with your purchase why would you keep it and not return it? Mine arrived stuffed with brown paper, layered with bubble wrap, then placed inside a small box where it was stuffed around the edges to stop it from moving around, inside the box, in transit. I had my bowl delivered within 8 hours of checking out! One of my favorite Amazon purchases to date both from a product and service point of view. Fully recommend and you're dog will be happy and thankful too! Buy them something that will last and something they actually need for Christmas this time.

Beautiful William Morris design bowl. Excellent quality and heavy so will not get knocked over. Can be put in the dishwasher. I love it. Holds a good amount of water too.

This is a beautiful bowl and is a pleasure to use. I purchased the larger size of bowl because I have three indoor cats and I wanted to be sure they have plenty of fresh drinking water and since it’s ceramic and large and deep is can hold a good amount of water and thus the volume remains cool throughout the day - which would not have been so much the case if I’d gone with the smaller size version. Being wide it’s easy to clean , a spray or detergent and a scrub with the brush and a good rinse and after running the cold tap to refill it, it’s ready to go again! It’s dishwasher safe too - if you had more time before needing to re-use it!

Cannot fault this product. I was sceptical at first looking at the previous reviews, however I saw this same product in John Lewis (for £20 each), so knew what it should look like. I ordered two of these bowls from amazon at £12 each (due to the price and buyers guarantee - cpuld return them if inwas not happy with the quality amazon supplied). The quality is exactly the same when arrived. Each bowl was wrapped in bubble wrap, with paper in their own box, within the delivery box. No issues with the print (not a sticker) and no damage to any of the ceramic or paint. Really lovely "posh" bowls. Would highly recommended. Plus with amazon's buyers guarantee, can't fault the service. I don't feel the item I received to be a seconds product and will be recommending to my friends who also have fur babies that deserve the best.

This is by far the most beautiful dog bowl I have ever bought. It is also very good on wear. ( my German shepherd loves to destroy his bowls ) this has lasted much longer than previous ones I have bought and my shepherd ( he is only 10 months old ) has finally resisted picking it up and throwing it around like a dog toy. I would definitely buy again..

Lovely product But put in large box with no protection at all and all arrived smashed . Being Replaced but hope with better /any protection as china and needs padding and not just slung in a box

Der Napf schaukelte extrem, als ich ihn auf eine plane Fläche stellte. Offenbar war zudem bevor das Dekor aufgebracht wurde schon der untere Rand, auf dem der Napf steht, schon beschädigt. Es fehlten kleine Chips, wo aber trotzdem die Dekorfolie aufgebracht wurde. Hier wurde eine enorm schlechte Qualität zu einem üppigen Preis verkauft. Amazon wollte den Napf nach UK zurückgesendet haben.
