A Seat, Table and More
Update: Jan. 2020This can lock at multiple heights. As a result, I have used it at the grocery store to stand on and reach something (briefly at a low height), at the gym to place my foot on for dumbbell curls, place my bag on and in the locker room to place my items on outside of the shower. I used it outdoors when my shoelace untied and I needed to prop my foot up to tie the shoe. It's also easy to clean and where you put your fingers is retracted from the part that rests on the floor. Clever. The only new warnings are that I don't recommend putting this in the overhead bend on an airplane as I had to for one flight. I suspect that's why there's a bit of a loose sounding part, yet it works perfect so I can't track it. It also sometimes doesn't fully collapse. Very minor.Original Review (Dec, 2019) I received this hours before my vacation. Perfect way to test its utility and convenience. Prior to this, I’d bought the expandable ‘seats’ that you lean on. None of those feel sturdy. I stumbled on an ad for this and thought it was too good to be true. With a lot of luggage, this didn’t turnout to be a burden at all. It’s moderately light weight with a convenient carrying strap. At the airport, I had to run to catch a connecting flight. I’m in shape but was exhausted once at the gate. Having arrived minutes before boarding, I didn’t want nor have to find a seat. I expanded this, sat down to catch my breath. Then, I stood up and relieved myself from a heavy backpack by placing that on this stool. When we boarded, I simply collapsed it. So easy...and a few smiles from onlookers. But wait! There’s more!!At my destination, there was an outlet but nothing to sit my electronics on near that outlet. Oh...my new stool! As you can see from the pics, this served as a table top. I mean WOW! Where was this when I was buying seats that made it look like a stick was coming out of my, um. Yeah.If there are any cons so far it would be that it only expands so high so you may not want to sit at below waist level in a crowd. Also you may want to be mindful of where you’re placing the surface because your hands will touch it when collapsing and carrying it. I carry wipes anyway so no biggie.I can see so many uses for this like at Broadway shows, amusement parks, etc. And unlike leaning seats where balance is required, you can assist a person who has problems standing by having this with you.Bravo to those who invented this. I can’t believe how easy it is to use. I hope it holds up over time but for now, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

If this once breaks, I will get another.
The short review is that the pros of this stool out weights the cons. I would recommend this stool to others. The stool had a great design that turns heads if people have not seen it before. When you first pick it up it feels heavier then it would seem but when you open it up and see all the stuff they put in it the stool is pretty light weight. There's are no buttons to push or levers to pull to make the stoll expand or contract but still locks so that someone can sit on it with confidence. The way the stool adjusts its height also allows it to be adjusted to many different heights to that it can suit the person using it. The built in strap is easy to open up making the light weight stool easier to transport and the strap wraps up nicely when not needed. Even though it's light it can hold a fair amount of weight. My husband's is about 220 lbs and he stood on it for over a hour doing house work.I do wish that the seat was reinforced better. The seat flexes in a way that it can feel like something is wrong with it but I can guess they did this so that no one will put all their weight on the edge like when standing on it for an hour when doing house work. Also the ground has to be pretty flat for the stool to stand on. Lastly, the green is not green. It might be the greenest color they make but it's not.Over all, the pros of this stool out weight the cons and I would recommend it to other.

Sturdy, reliable seat good for carrying around in a vehicle, but maybe not for a hike.
I like things which take up little space but can be expanded when needed. Murphy Beds, futons, drink cups. I have an expandable bucket in my truck. Here is a great expandable seat to also carry with me in the truck. I was easily able to expand it and lock it in place. My fear was that it would collapse when I sat on it, but try as I might it did its job and stayed put. Yet, when I picked it up to collapse it again, it did! In all ways it was what I needed and seems very robust: should last a long time. Just don't call it light. That dependability comes with the price of weight. It seems ok and can be held easily enough, but I wouldn't want to carry it long distances: the weight would become a burden over the miles. That is why I am glad to put it in my truck and pull it out when I stop somewhere and want to sit outside.

Very easy to use, very sturdy feeling, easy to pack.
The media could not be loaded. I'm always on the lookout for things that can make life easier for someone who has mobility issues, and was intrigued by this seat. We've tried the tripod type seats and have always found them annoying to carry around/ pack and always feel like they are on the verge of tipping over. This seat is much easier to manage in that sense, and is quick and easy to set up and collapse when done. You can see in the attached video exactly how simple and quick it is to use. Simply pull, twist slightly, and you're done! We also appreciate how sturdy the seat is once locked, and knowing it can support up to 300lbs means you don't worry if you are stressing the mechanisms and material. If I had one thing I'd change, I wouldn't mind if it was slightly lighter, however, I think the weight is part of what makes it feel so sturdy - there's nothing flimsy about the seat. You can pick the height you'd like to sit by not fully extending the seat to its full height. It also slides easily into a backpack, or attaches by the carrying strap that runs around the closed seat. This will be great to have in our bag for trips, festivals, hikes, etc. Very happy with this seat as an option when fatigue and balance issues rear their ugly heads!
